I tried putting a YouTube video embed link in my listing and it doesn't let me use it because it says it uses javascript. Am I not able to use YouTube for videos? It is for a flashing item and need the video to demonstrate it. What can I use if that doesn't work?

You can post a link to a YouTube video of your item , I use a clickable thumbnail link. This opens in another window when the buyer clicks on it. This is permitted by ebay rules. Here's an example of one of mine:

An easy way to add this to your listing (once you've posted the video to YouTube) is use this free tool:
https://www.flippertools.com/ebayYoutube/embed-youtube-videos-in-ebay-listings.htm
By the way, sometime later this year ebay is supposedly coming out with an updated way to add videos. But for now, this works.

Hi, eBay allows product videos from YouTube to be imbedded in the description field. There are some do’s and dont’s though. Below is the policy:
