How could this happen?

In my site preferences I have it marked to block a buyer if they have more than 2 unpaid item cases in the past 6 months.

I was looking at my Buyer Requirements Activity Log and a couple of days ago a person was blocked for just this reason.  Then I look at the item and they were able to buy it.

I know it was the same person because of the number of feedback and bought the exact same day.

So, evidently they are aware of a work around that I am not aware of.  If that is the case then why do I even bother to block anyone?  I put the block up when I was getting so many unpaid item cases and it did help.  I guess not so much anymore if there is a way around it.

Thanks for the answers!  I seriously doubt it just fell off the exact same day lol.  I am leaning more towards calling ebay to have it taken off.

They did pay and I shipped same day so hopefully they won't give me a negative for being blocked the first time.open_mouth

They paid, so why they were able to purchase despite initial block is a moot point.

Maybe the UPIs timed out (maybe they had the date marked on their calendar), maybe they called eBay and had one removed. The only reason they were blocked is that they were a non-payer ... but they paid you so why the block was lifted doesn't matter. If it's even the same buyer.

Re: How could this happen?

Hi there!
You had a buyer that should have been blocked that was allowed to buy. I had a buyer blocked who should have been able to buy with no impediment. Exactly bass ackwards if ya ask me.

Must be one of those new and improved ebay seller enhancements that they forgot to announce.

Déjà Moo: The strange feeling that I've heard this bull before...
