OK so started a new user name on eBay ---> What feedback score do I need before the nervous Nellies will sell to me? 10, 20, 30 or 100?
Have seen many come on these boards saying they won't sell to anyone with a low feedback score, will just cancel the sale rather than take the risk (and take the eBay defect/ding).
Also have seen many say that IF I have a low FB score and I ask a question about their listing, they are going to get irritated and just add me to their Blocked Buyer's List.
So how many feedback scores do I need to be able to buy from these types of not get banned by other types?
How about if I sell too? How many buyer-FB do I need before anyone is going to trust me?

You don't need to have any number to buy. Zero feedback buyers are allowed to buy.
Many will give new sellers a chance as well.
Just go ahead and buy and sell as you please.

I think the people who post about getting nervous about 0 feedback buyers are the minority. At least I hope so. Most have been burnt before, I guess. I think most people will have no problem selling to new buyers. You might run into nervous nellies on an auction, but for BINs they probably won't even look. I have never looked at a buyer's feedback prior to sending their item as long as I have payment in my Paypal account.
If you are bidding on auctions there really isn't a said number. Of course there is no limit on eBay, because why wouldn't they want new buyers? That's why I don't get these people who bluster on about "buyers shouldn't be able to buy until they have 50 feedback!!" WHAT??? How the heck is that even supposed to happen. It's so dumb. I hope you don't run into any of these idiots. I have seen 50 thrown around and it makes zero sense. You have every right to buy with no feedback and if a seller has a problem with that you're probably better off without them.

I have no issues with 0 feedback & low feedback buyers, many are my best customers
and any seller who just cancels because of that will get the OOS defect so their loss
I have several very low feedback buying accounts Been lucky I guess haven't ever had any sellers cancel on me.
hoping you come across some better sellers , They are out there .

Don't worry too much about the lack of feedback you have.
I've sold plenty of expensive cd's to zero feedback buyers with no problems. Sellers want sales and they want your business.

Have you actually been blocked?
Has anyone actually canceled a sale?
Or are you just expecting it to happen?
A lot of people say a lot of things on this board that they don't actually do.
Busy sellers don't research their buyers. And I know I never have.
I suspect they're too busy selling and making money.

During the holidays, about 50% of my sales are to 0 - very low feedback buyers. I have found them to be great customers! So if sellers are turning them away, maybe that is helping my numbers? 😉
Buying from low feedback sellers is a little different to me. If the price is right, i will consider everything, and maybe ask more specific questions. My chances of getting product as advertised are just a little better with a higher-feedback seller. I also help list on my husband's account, and he gets much lower prices overall than I would for the same items (His feedback score is 151).
I noticed a big difference (as a seller) in buyer's confidence after I hit the 1,000 feedback mark. It was unexpected, and a pleasant surprise. But everyone has to start somewhere. I personally think it is harder to start fresh (new I.D.) on Ebay now than it was when I first started. But there wasn't quite so much over-saturation in the categories at that time; Less competition, and more customers.

A 0 is O.K. with me. It is crazy seller to cancel sell because of low feed back. I sell to a lot of frist time buyers. New acounts. Sometimes they open new acounts. It never bothers me. I have left 4 or 5 nly feedbacks on buyers acounts. With mine only. New acounts every one has to start some where. Do not let it bother you. They are a lot of fools out their.

We see different sellers frequently saying they do not want to sell to a buyer who has no feedback or very little feedback.
The sellers say they want to be able to look at the "feedback left" by the buyer.
So, it is logical than many buyers want to have about 3 fairly recent (within the past 4 months) "feedback left" for sellers to look at.

(Not going to do it. Not going to do it. Not going to .... darn, I'm doing it)
Explain to me, please ...
If a seller won't sell to a zero feedback buyer ...
How is that buyer supposed to get (and leave) feedback?
How does a zero FB buyer get out of that catch-22 scenario?

10 Should be sufficient to cause most people to be fairly comfortable.

"OK so started a new user name on eBay ---> What feedback score do I need before the nervous Nellies will sell to me? 10, 20, 30 or 100?"
Nervous Nellie may not want to sell to you even with 100 feedback while troubled Tom may sell to you if you have 10 feedback, but with much trepidation and hesitation.
Rude Richard will just block you for less than 20 feedback while crabby Patty may contact you and grumble and complain but still sell to you.
If you are a talkative Timmy with 2 feedbacks and ask a lot of questions of seller grumpy Gus, he may reluctantly answer a question, then stop communicating after the second question.
On the other hand, seller babbling Bob may love your questions and become overly friendly and welcome your bids with 0 feedback.
Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer will make you wish you never bought from them.
So, it depends.

------------
I don't think I've ever had to ask a seller a question about their listing.
With all the sellers on eBay, if one seller doesn't adequately explain the item in the listing, I'll go on to another.

I have never canceled because a buyer has low/no feedback.
Seldom do auctions. Many of my sales go to low/zero feedback buyers.
I do not sell big ticket items. I think the sellers with big ticket/high scam category item are the ones that post about cancelling.
I may block if the potential buyer asks me what color the handle is when the color is in the title. (Color repeated in the description) If they are not reading the title it is evident that they are reading nothing else.
