Did you mean:

How Long should you wait

A bidder with no feedback has bid on a set of paperbacks. It's been four days now. How long should they get? I have sent the invoice and later a message.

If I've sent an invoice, and the buyer doesn't respond to a message, I just cancel and indicate that there is something wrong with the buyer address.  Seriously, after two days, I'm not waiting for eBay to give the buyer another couple of days to keep my item on hold.

It's your business to run as you see fit but you aren't doing the rest of us any favors.  The problem with doing it this way is these deadbeats don't get the UPI strikes they so richly deserve.  Don't forget, many sellers like me have automatic blocks set to refuse bids from any buyer with nore than 2 strikes in 12 months.

Now on to the OP.  You're wasting your time sending all these reminders.  They get them already from eBay.  If there is a problem on the buyer's end, s/he could at least have the decency to let you know.  Open the unpaid item disputes after at least 2 days, close it 4 days after that.  Add them to your blocked bidder list if you want but you should think about putting those automatic blocks in place and maybe using the eBay automatic unpaid item assistant.

It does all the work for you.

I hadn't thought about it from that standpoint - not getting a UPI strike.  I'll think about that - seems like the right thing to do for the broader selling community.
