That link will help.
But in the spirit of give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, he can feed himself for his lifetime, you can search the Ebay Help pages, or do an internet search for what you are looking for, then choose and click on what comes up.
Hope this helps.

The easiest way~~look at your listing on your listings page. On the right you will see "sell similar" and under that you see "options". Under "options" you will see "end listing". Just click on that.

If you are ending the active item because there is an error in the listing or because you no longer have the item ... then follow the instructions above.
If you are ending the active listing because you have an offer through eBay messages to sell it outside of eBay .... DON'T DO IT.

If you are ending the active listing because the buyer has said they paid and you have a message from PayPal that the item sold (but does not show as sold in eBay) ... THIS IS A SCAM. DON'T DO IT.
So ... some more information is necessary 🙂

You might want to know, though, before you end that item...... if you do so, Ebay will penalize you by lowering your standard of selling status. I ended an item because it was no longer available (it sold same day on Etsy) and Ebay dropped me from Above Standard rating to Below Standard rating and increased my FVF from 10% to 15%.

I think there's quite a bit left out of your anecdote 😞
Ending an active listing (not a defect) is not the same as canceling an order "Out of Stock" (defect). And one defect doesn't put you below standard.
