I have been a seller on eBay for 3 years now. Sold thousands of items. Customer service has never been a strong suite on eBay but lately it has gotten pathetic. Forget the fact that you outsource completely to India and I'm talking to a human that barely understands English reading a prompt, but now I can't even call eBay. We have to go through forums and click an option for eBay to call us at their earliest convince.
I have recently lost 2 sales due to a programming bug from eBay that I spent multiple hours trying to troubleshoot with them (most of them saying it was mine or the buyers fault). My buyers contacted them multiple times. I asked eBay for some compensation for my lost sales and for my time having to deal with these issues. I get rhetoric spit back at me and ofc no compensation.
Programming bugs are ebays responsibility and in the real world can cause multiple millions of dollars in damages and be sue-able. I get I'm a small fish in a big pond but eBay taking a hint of responsibility would be so gratefully appreciated. This is only one of multiple issues lately I've had to call about multiple times and gotten no resolution or the person on the other end just simply didnt do what they said they were going to do.
This is NOT acceptable. I pay every month to use this medium to sell my items as well as give you extra when things do sell. I will be looking into other platforms. To me this isn't acceptable anymore. I know I sound mean and hateful and right now I feel that way. There have been lots of good times on eBay and I have made alot of money but its getting to be more trouble than its worth.

Actually I believe eBay is exploiting cheap labor in the Philippines.
I don't know what you pay in fees a month, but I pay $1000 on average. My internet provider provides me better service and support for $70 a month

I understand it's all about profits and making/saving money but something realy needs to be dome about this problem.
I always look at problems and say to myself "what would i do if this were my company?".
I would employ both Philippines and US based customer service people. Use the Philippines staff to handle easy/routine questions/problems. Use the US based staff to handle more complex issues.
Seems like a fair compromise to me.

Geeze. You lost no sales to do to a bug. No they are not going to compensate you.

Your going to need to explain what you are calling a programming bug in detail as what you have stated here is all generalities. None of us can tell what is going on for you with the minimal amount you shared.
And no Ebay won't compensate you. They state that is the UA in which you agreed to so you could use this site.

I've only sold one item, but I won't try to sell on ebay again. I will have a garage sale first. I have been trying to get ebay to pay me for over a month. The buyer paid immediately but ebay took their cut AND kept the balance.
