I have a buyer who opened an INR case. The item was $2300. I have signature confirmation as well as USPS geo location of delivery which disagrees with what he is claiming. Apparently you have to wait 3 business days before eBay will step in. I have already spoke with the high value claims department and they told me the have put in detailed notes on the case and to call back Friday to have the case closed.
I’m a little paranoid the buyer is going to try and call before me and try to get them to close in his favor. Should I be worried about this with the documentation I’ve provided thus far and what are the hours for high value claims so I can call as soon as they are open?

The high value claims department hours are 9-5:30 MST.
I was able to call them this morning and have the case closed in my favor.
Thanks for everyone’s help

You should be fine. You followed the procedures and purchased it properly.
You may want to grab a copy following the instructions that I outlined here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Shipping-Returns/USPS-Signature-Confirmation-where-is-the-signature/m-...

My only concern is the signature confirmation is a bunch of scribbles and the name for delivery is just random letters.
I assume the buyer was smart enough to not write his own name and USPS didn’t question it. However the geo location shows it was his address.

eBay doesn't care about all that. If signature legibility was in question, sellers would lose every single one.

First, don't have ebay 'escalate'; just respond to the INR case with the tracking; it then belongs back to the buyer. They have to escalate, and when they do the tracking will show delivered and case will close in your favor.
Carriers are NOT collecting signatures, they are themselves signing.. due to Covid.

Also, just curious. The item you sold shows it sold for $3200 yet you put $2300 on this post. T

That was a different item which i used local pickup. I was happy to see eBay has a good system for handling that.
The item in question actually sold for $2250 which I rounded up because they paid shipping as well.

What is the high value teams phone number? Thank you

You can’t contact them directly. You have to go through regular customer service. When they see the value of the claim they will then forward you to the high value claims department.

Thank you, I spoke to the regular reps and they say they cannot traanfer me to the high claims reps. I may have to eacalt via my credit card company since all I hear is "we escalated your claim today {the day doesn't matter } and you should hear back in 24-72 hours)

How do you speak with high value team, I tried calling the other day and the rep told me they don’t have a phone number.

" . . . and purchased it properly". I believe the OP is the seller, not the buyer.

Well, I'm sorry to say @nukesquirrel if the buyer is intent to scam you, they could still file a charge back with their CC processor or paypal. I'm not wishing any bad juju your way, just warning you to be prepared.

They did file a chargeback, but ebay still closed the case in my favor.
