I sell trading cards, and the fees in seller hub performance look insane, am I missing something?

The 27% includes shipping labels purchased on eBay.

Could this be because I put free shipping on some stuff?

Ah that would make sense, thank you.

As well as all the taxes buyers paid, and also remember to include the 0.40 per transaction payment provider fee in your calculations (in general I mean, because in the pie charts' case it's lumped in with the "eBay fees" portion already)

You could raise your prices on some items by a little bit or all your items by a little bit to make a little back. You may want to experiment with pricing.

As others mentioned there is a difference between selling costs and fees. eBay should actually do a better job of displaying and explaining this in their reports and graphs but they don't. They lump the shipping costs and the fees into one and simply call it selling expenses. Example if you sell a $10 card with free shipping to a buyer in a state with 8% sales tax.
Total paid by buyer = $10 + (10 * .08) = $10.80
FVF = ($10.08 * .1325) + $.30 = $1.73
Effective FVF% = $1.73 / $10.80 = 16.02%
Assuming $1.12 Shipping cost % = $1.12 / 10.80 = 10.37%
Total eBay selling cost % = 26.39%
