Help with offer

I have an offer for a doll I’m selling. I want to accept it but in handling the doll an arm came off (in the listing I’d said it was loose but now it is off). Honestly the arm was headed toward falling off. I think most buyers if this type doll understand this. Price was a bargain.  So I don’t think offer maker will want to back out. But I want to be honest.

How do I contact the offer maker to explain this to see if they still want the doll? Can’t find any contact email. eBay “assistant “ worthless. Hoping real people can help!

Re: Help with offer

If the doll is no longer in the condition for which you listed it.......decline the offer...........otherwise, you are asking for trouble.  I would decline the offer with the explanation, tell the buyer that you are revising the listing and will accept the offer if the buyer wants to make the offer understanding the new condition.........

NEVER depend on buyer's "understanding"........make the condition total clear.

Re: Help with offer

You can go into the offer. Find the buyers ID and message that way.

You can also see the type of FB the buyer leaves for others ...

But I agree with @dhbookds  and you should decline and correct the listing

dhbookds posted good advice. You may want to contact the offer BEFORE you end the listing just to let them know why you are relisting (update listing condition). Don't make it easier than it is for buyers to open a INAD.

Honesty is a given. You would be foolish to assume what a stranger understands, or what a stranger wants, or what a stranger thinks is a "bargain".

eBay does not allow you to contact the buyer outside eBay. You need to use the eBay messaging system to contact the buyer. In your seller hub in your offers section, there should be an option to contact the buyer.
