Help, please! eBay Authenticators won't even return item!

I recently sold a $300 Lillie pokemon card through eBay Authentication (keep in mind that this is my first time using it). I packed it incredibly well, will two layers of cardboard, tape around the cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in an oversized box full of packing peanuts. According to eBay authentication, it was received as "water damaged", and when I asked for photos no photos were provided. I checked all through my Email, including my spam... no photos. Their reasoning for not returning the item is that they're "waiting for buyer response", which I am afraid will either take forever or simply not happen. I've tried talking to eBay Agents, but it's essentially like talking to a brick wall. Can someone please give me a decent window of what to do? Thank you!!!

All you can do is wait...........that's what they told you....."they're waiting for a buyer response"........

This is why its best to purchase insurance when shipping higher dollar items. Had you done that to begin with you wouldn't be sweating over it right now.

UPS once ran over a $350 stereo receiver I shipped with a fork lift. They just wrote me a check, I refunded the buyer and I still got paid.

I also don't see any logic in packaging a $300 card with cardboard and dumping it in an oversized box that will just collapse the moment something heavier falls on it because the box is too light.

You should use a solid card protector for such an expensive item. Then just wrap it in bubble wrap and throw it in a bubble mailer or a smaller box.

Packing peanuts don't always work to keep items centered in place either, as the peanuts will simply shift around in the box while in transit.
