Hi everyone,
If someone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. One of my auctions recently ended and the buyer paid in full on ebay for the items and shipping costs. There were 3 separate items with 3 separate shipping costs. The buyer and I agreed to meet locally to distribute the items and I agreed to repay him in cash the total shipping costs. So everything is fine on both ends of the sale. My question is on ebay, how do I indicate the items were "shipped"? I only see a choice to click print shipping label but that's not what I want to select. Also, the buyer picked up the items in due time but if I wait too long on ebay to indicate that the items were shipped, will it ding my account as a seller? How do I resolve this situation, since as of now on ebay's site, it looks like the three items have not been shipped....

You can mark the items as shipped, but don't think that'll help with a late shipping ding.
You know without tracking, the buyer can file an INR and get a full refund.

You probably needed to use the "proof of pickup" system that eBay developed:
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/local-pickup?id=4181
If so, the buyer would have given you a QR code to scan or a 6 digit confirmation number to enter.

If you do that, refund their shipping, you will still be paying eBay 12.55% give or take on that cost. I'd start over with a combined invoice and no shipping. Even if you have to refund them to do it.

I have this happen every once in a while, I just do not worry about it, happens when I send something freight on a carrier that is not ebay integrated, we ship everything else on time so the occasional ding does not hurt anything.
