So i sold an item in Feb.item came back return to sender.i contacted buyer asking if they wanted item refunded or new address etc.NO RESPONSE.customer had 0 rating so i figured stolen credit card.
I just heard from buyer, wants reshipped to same address.i said be sure its accurate so qr code gets it right.he got mad doesnt want to change address in ebay?
Messages im receiving are from different acct than what i sold to.i told customer to contact ebay file a claim and i could refund that way as he has changed accts .THOUGHTS?

You're not obligated to refund at all BUT I would (and I think most of us would) refund the ORIGINAL account that bought the item everything LESS shipping.
I would not communicate with whoever is contacting you from a different account.

You may not be able to, in which case i would just not issue a refund. As i said earler, you are not obligated to refund.
If you insust on giving a refund, you would have to contact the person through the ebay message system and try and figure out a way to pay/refund them outsidenof ebay. There is no way to do it through ebay.

Proper way to handle this is the give customer a refund (minus shipping costs). Then if customer still wants item...they must re-purchase it and pay for shipping.
NEVER ship to different address or change address if customer requests this. Customer can claim "did not get item" and you would be forced to give them a refund.
Everything needs to be done through EBAY website so they can a record of what happened.
