So sales have been a little slow lately. No need to panic.
But what's freaking me out is my feedback.
Normally i watch it grow a few points a day but it hasn't changed in about a week.
I've been stuck at 1899.

You need to sell (or buy) something to get feedback. If your sales are slow, your incoming feedback will also be slow.

I don't believe people are leaving feedback at the rate they once were. For 18 years I averaged 70-75% but my last 2 years I've barely made out with 1/2 of my transactions leaving a reciprocal feedback. People just don't care to say thank you or help you grow. I changed my widget line awhile back hoping to change this MM ID from a lower-profit selling ID to a higher-end one ... not one person I sold an item $100+ to left me feedback so I'm still seen as a bargain ID. I use old IDs that I sold expensive dishes on to list those products. Buyers don't understand there can be a purpose beyond the immediate to leaving feedback.

I'd have to ask old buddies from 20+ years but I bet we averaged 80+% return feedback in the first years. I'm sitting at 71% right now WITH two **bleep** years return so it had to be higher than I even thought.

It is generally said that sellers who leave feedback for every buyer upon payment only receive 20%-30% feedback in return. Slow sales aren't going to be very productive as far as producing feedback for you, sorry to say.
Buyers aren't as focused on leaving feedback; some just want to get their widget.
Hope you break 1900 soon!

Wow that's a very accurate percentage. I did some calculations a few months ago and came up with 25%.
I can remember when it used to be about 90%. Yes, i'm that old.

I think apps and phones have a lot to do with it. Log on, buy, short attention span. Like not even reading titles. The website is clunky too. They probably don't even see the feedback.

My sales have been pretty slow this month too. Hardly any views on new stuff. I think most of my sales came from repeat customers or people who found me through social media. I don't really care about getting feedback at this point. I think its nice and I appreciate the time someone takes to leave it, but I don't feel like it's really important anymore.

Thank you. There are, of course, those who may draw a higher or lower percentage of feedback, but that seems to be about average, from what I have seen.
Yes, those were the good old days.

Honestly, the feedback screen changed a year or two ago, and leaving feedback for purchases became very tedious. You have to click multiple times and submit each separately. I don't blame people for not leaving. The sellers still have quicker option for leaving feedback.
I leave because as a seller I know sellers want it. But it's a pain.
I think it used to be more obvious. Yes, I know there is a button next to each item on the Purchase History to leave feedback, but there used to just be one option on the left hand side that said feedback, that you could click on and have everything you needed to post feedback for right there.
