I am pretty sure that I know the answer to this, but hope I'm wrong. Is there any way to indicate that I don't want Ebay to automatically relist my auctions? I believe that Ebay is doing this to increase fees from listing over the allowed number of free listings. I am now cancelling my listings ahead of the time that they are due to relist. Sometimes I do this when I have someone watching my listing, so possibility causing me to miss a sale. But, at least, I still have some control over my BIN's.

When I start ads using my iPad, some will automatically relist and I don’t get charged. This was also true for some of the 30 day fixed price ads that I had on eBay before the dreaded March 18 forced Gtc policy. After March 18, I have not let a fixed price ad restart with the exception of 2 that I missed. I just do not trust Ebay to NOT charge me.

I'll tell you what I did: Changed all my listings to auction style.
GTC is **bleep**.

While I can see the value of GTC for many sellers, it doesn't work for me. It creates extra work watching the end times to cancel the listing so I don't get charged an accidental listing fee. Also, when I had my store, the 30 day BIN was a great way for me to track my inventory and decide if A) I wanted to relist it and B) if Yes then should I lower my price? I don't understand how taking away an option that I really liked and worked well for me helps me. Different people use eBay in different ways, why not honour the individual?
With regard to the phone app, my screens changed a while back and any listing I create on the phone automatically fills in the relist 8 times, plus I no longer have access to all of the fields I used to have. Once upon a time, I could list a bar coded item in about 60-90 seconds....the "upgraded" app is now slower (especially the pictures!) and incomplete which requires me to finish my listings on my computer, thereby reducing the amount of listings I can create.
I have been a user and seller since 1998, my observations are my own and your mileage may vary, but the seller experience has been slowly and systematically ruined for me by increasingly complicated rules and policies that do not help me in any way.

Even before GTC took effect I never used 30 day duration. Now I just end my listings in large similar groups in 7 day rotations without regard to views or watchers. If I have to make a change in the way I have done things for the last 15 years, it will be to list more items in larger lots with less total listings. I am pretty sure that I lose a few sales now and then doing it this way, but honestly don't care. Today, being Friday, I will probably cancel and "sell similar" about 150 week old listings.

All that Ebay has accomplished with this is increase my workload. Such as it is, Only choices were to give up on ebay or suck-up the extra labor. I agree, I have very few long-term watchers that purchase after a long wait period. They are either sellers looking for pricing data, or regulars who know that I drop my prices with each re-list. I cancel 1-2 days ahead of time, didn't want to gamble at the hour level, what if the ISP goes down?
I complained and actually got the response of a vice president at ebay, but the response was still one of "GTC is best for me". What can I say?

Any suggestions how to handle canceling of your listings when there is no internet connection?
Maybe there is a way to petition eBay to reinstate the 30 day listing option to do the honest business rather than trap someone into mistake to collect fees?
