I live in S. Ontario.  I sent a parcel to NY.  Where is it currently?  Tampa, FL!!!  It's bad enough they delay so much mail now.  They have to add this nonsense to the list?

I live in NY and just sent a parcel to Ontario.  After a month, it also went to Tampa.  It is now finally in Canada.  Guess Florida is now between Ontario and New York!!!!

I'm not so quick to jump all over the USPS.  For the most part they do a pretty good job. I still use them for 100% of my ebay business. 

To get a package from Hawaii to the US East Coast in a few days for a few bucks is amazing. Sure, once in a while there are delays and glitches, but that's to be expected. Look at how much mail they move.

My hat's off to the USPS.

I sent a package from NJ to CA. It stopped at Puerto Rico first.

I sent a package from New York to Indiana. It got to Indiana, and then went to Missouri, then Ohio, and back to Indiana.....a 12 day journey. There was about 25 entries in the tracking information.

So much for efficiency.

It all has to do with capacity - everything is pre-sorted, but it has to be moved out of the sorting center - it's cheaper to reroute it to fill a cargo plane and then send it on, in another full plane, than to have planes fly without full cargos and hold it up.  It's something we usually don't see because there usually isn't this horrible backup with the USPS struggling to move the mail as best they can - so there's some very strange routing.

There is hope for me then.  My 3-Day Priority package tracking history has been "in transit to the next destination" from FL to Colorado for over a month.  Today, it finally got a scan in Idaho.

Oh, he's definitely not like the rest of us.  He may be a heavily protected player, but then you never deploy the magic until it becomes necessary.

I live in Tennessee.  I sold a package to a buyer in Toronto Canada.  This was the end of November and eBay's estimated delivery date with December 23rd.

First the package went to "international sorting center" in Miami.

Then it was sent up to Detroit, then to Canadian customs.

From customs it was released to a sorting center in Toronto.

Then it was sent to the Post Office in Toronto.  It took a week for it to arrive at the Toronto post office and 5 more days to get delivered. 

This package was delivered 1/5.2021.   So it was late, but not as late as it appears, if you remember the original estimated delivery date.
