Ok new topic, new day. Let's talk about something positive. Who else loves selling on Ebay?  

My favorite thing is hearing that cha-ching sound notification. I'm like a little kid who just got excited to get a piece of candy. I like to create pictures to sell my items, it is actually fun for me and I enjoy it. I miss having a store but being online only" does have it's perks. I get to be home all day with with kids and choose my own hours if I have something else that is important to do. I like communications between the buyer and I . I also love the personal positive feedbacks left. I keep creating new goals for myself, sometimes don't meet them but that's ok. My daughters and I like to pick through the jewelry together and make boxes, it's fun family bonding time. Anything that I have that is to big to mail I just put up on Marketplace. My cats love to model the pet houses I make and the custom pieces, something they even jump in my lightbox and model. My office/workspace is actually in the living room behind the main couch, so when I am working I am still apart of the family during the day. I have a wonderful life and overall very happy person. Yes I get some buyers that cause stress here and there but who doesn't? It is impossible to please everyone and I am ok with that, I just try to do the best I can do. I also buy on Ebay. I met a couple Amazon selllers as well that I have saved. I have never had any issues buying from anyone, thankful for that. I tried Etsy once but I went with 3 months no bites so I closed it down. I prefer Ebay, so I can also sell the used items as well and the platform is easier for me. My store name comes from kids. Swan is a maiden name and I have 5 kids but my 2 youngest are girls and the blondies of the family. So I named it after them. So whats your pros and cons and your story? Thanks

Thank you so much for the positive post. It’s easy to get consumed on here with all the negativity. 

I too love the cha-ching!! I quickly look at my phone to see what I sold, where it’s being shipped and for how much. 

I mostly sell used automotive parts. So for me there is no other platform to sell on. Ebay and ebay motors is where it’s at. Without ebay I would not be able to do what I do. 

Just yesterday I came across an item that I couldn’t wait to list. If it sells for my asking price it will be the highest priced item I’ve sold on ebay. So yes, I’m excited it! I keep watching to see if I have anymore views.

That is a good sound. But what is kinda annoying on my part even though it is my fault is when my wife and I are at a nice diner and all of a sudden "CHA CHING" and everyone looks. And the first question asked is "are you a reseller". Then everyone all looks again. lol. But yeah, It's a good sound.

Sometimes the cha-ching goes off when I'm sourcing inventory - like up at the counter when I'm paying for it.  Ooops.   Still, it's a very pleasant sound!

WE REALLY NEED some more positive posts on here amidst the bombardment of THE  “I am not giving ebay my checking account number” etc. I am on here a lot trying to help people with issues, but for the most part, I have a very enjoyable experience here with few problems. O especially appreciated the ability to sell online during the height of the pandemic since it was profitable and safe. God bless Ebay for that.
