I received an invitation to a baby shower that had a list of places that the mother to be had set up a gift registry. eBay was not on the list. I do not see a place for gift registry on eBay...has there ever been one? If not, now might be good time to start, IMO.

eBay used to have a wish list that operated like a gift registry, but it stopped working 3-4 years ago.

Stopped working 3-4 years ago and no fix, what a shame.

They discontinued the wish list.
I'm not sure how a registry would work on ebay......... it couldn't be for specific listings since they might be sold.......... No problem in looking at the listings on other places and buying on ebay....but some might balk at doing it.........plus could be a return problem as the recipient would not be the buyer.

Thank you, all valid points.
The event that I am going to is local, so I probably would buy an item, have it sent to me, wrap it up and give it at the shower. That would mean that if there was a problem with the item, the recipient would have to give it back to me and I would have to handle the return. That does sound like a hassle.
Oh well, I was just trying to think of it as way to increase sales for a seller and keep my money on eBay.

I think it's a good idea!
I think they had something a few years back that allowed people to get together to give toward a group gift. I don't know what became of that.

There is a universal lay away. The only one here. Paypal credit.
