Not looking for advice, just sharing 🙂
Got an offer for an item I had listed at $175 for $125. I declined and told the buyer the best I would do is $150 ($20 off). They responded with an offer of $130. I declined and at that point removed the Best Offer option and lowered the BIN price to $149.99. I then get a phone call from the buyer saying asking for my "best price" which I explained I already offered them. They then went on to complain about how much shipping costs and demanded I lower the price saying they needed it at below a certain price etc etc and that they would "buy it from someone else" (I know they cannot get it cheaper, ANYWHERE) so I told them nicely that they are welcome to find one elsewhere for less but good luck in doing so. They bought it for $150 but I would have rather not have gotten the phone call to be haggled with that was a bit unnecessary IMO. What do these people do at the grocery store or at the gas station? My goodness pushy pushy.

... in situations like you describe i would be a bit leery. it sounds like the buyer bought it, but is a bit disgruntled with you for not accepting HIS price and also removing the best offer option. it is possible he will leave neutral or negative feedback if he can find a reason, or a reason for a return.
... i had similar years ago. my policies on each listing state reasonable offers. so in effect, if i now receive a low ball unrealistic offer, after sending them a counter with a message reason why i can not accept and what i expect ... i will usually decline any additional offer and just send to block. i do not consider my counters unrealistic and try to assume that ALL buyers are reasonable and understanding. unfortunately, some are expect their own way always, and are very vindictive as i've found to my detriment and expense. it is more important to me that i keep happy customers and reasonable fees on ebay, than it is to lose one sale here and there.

Sounds like one of my buyers... 🙂 Constantly telling me they are entitled to freebies because they paid full price for a couple of previous orders. Some people are just rude and clueless.

Just say no and don't explain. Also don't do anything you wouldn't do ordinarily. Your price is your price. I get weird questions all the time "How much to ship FedEx?" I don't USE FedEx (isn't one near my and I'm not driving all over town to find one). "Can you make a listing with these 5 items so I can make an offer on all of them?" No but you can make offers on each one then I send you an invoice for all together and combined shipping. (I'm not putting them in a lot only to wait for a week for the buyer to buy but denying others the chance to buy.)

Do not take any more of these buyer phone calls in the future

After the phone call I thought the same thing and was going to block them but they purchased right away and I couldn't. I assume I will get low ratings and possibly a negative or even a SNAD return.

They must have gotten it via contacting Ebay somehow. I did not give it to them. This is not the first time a customer has called me either.

I just got a $70 offer on a $95 item. When I looked to see where the buyer is located, it says "Georgia". That would be the country, not the state. I flat out had to tell him I don't ship to Georgia and my PayPal is only set up to take payments from U.S. accounts. I am sick of counterfeiters buying my items. Unfortunately, certain countries have more of them.

This is Ebay not a grocery store. Ebay started out as a site for sellers to sell their used stuff and for buyers to haggle for best prices like a flea market or garage sale. Somewhere along the way sellers decided they wanted to turn it into a real store and raise prices above what buyers expect coming here. Many buyers left for that very same reason thus the lack of sales for many.

Wrong - Ebay started out as a flea market place venue - Ebay no longer wanted to be thought of as the flea market venue so they decided sellers need to sell more New items, brought in the Big Boy Stores and the overseas sellers. Buyers are of a different mindset - especially on this venue - I don't get lowball offers on other sites. The only other site I haggle with people is on FB.
With increased fees, ship costs and promotions - sellers can not afford to give their items away any longer. I do not go into a B&M and haggle over the price - nor will I do it here. If a seller has BO - I offer a reasonable offer for them to consider - not 60% off like the offer I received today on an item without BO.
