It’s the first of November and of my 250 free listings I have only 148 left. I have not listed any new items today. Where did they go?

You have close to 600 listings.

When listings renew each month they use up your free insertions.

You get 250 total free insertions per month which includes both new listings and renewed listings.

Your bill last month must have been hefty for the number of listings you currently have. It's time for you to subscribe to an eBay store if you're going to maintain that many listings. A Basic store subscription will get you 1K listings in all categories (plus more in a few select categories).

Did you have listings that carried over? Those count against the 250. They would not be new, but carried over from October.

You had a bunch of listings that were originally listed on the 1st of the month, I found at least 86 (might have miscounted) that would have renewed today.
