This is crazy - I have been struggling more and more each month with the changes being made to the website - setting up and renewing items have one obstacle after another lately - simply listing and relisting items is really getting frustrating.
I cannot pay fees until there is actual money/sales generated to pay fees from... 😕
Now that there is no other option than "good till cancelled" I cannot even relist my items unless I can commit to being aware of, and making time to cancel them just before incurring fees for unsold items? (not even sure when that is until I decide to list them {or not})
It seems that they want to drive away the little guy that is willing to pay them a percentage of anything they sell on their site - I guess that is their intent?
Or...…. maybe they are hoping it just goes unnoticed long enough that we just end up with fees on our credit cards and then get sour on the idea of trying to fight this battle anymore and give up on eBay completely.
Sad..... (and, of course, super frustrating)
I just recently made my goal of 100 positive feedback 🙂
Seems like I've been wasting all this time building my seller reputation for nothing and that really bothers me too!

Amen to everything you said. I just discovered this, and am now pretty much going to have to stop using Buy It Now. Some listings have taken several months to sell, while other, esoteric items, can take MANY months until that right buyer happens to see the listing. All the while, I can't just keep paying listing fee after listing fee - especially on lower priced items. This is not to help us sell, but some idea to corral sellers - much like not allowing access to e-mail addresses or being forced to use PayPal - and it will generate revenue. Some less seasoned sellers will no doubt be charged time and again and either not be aware or not even know why.
It makes no business sense to do things like this that will drive sellers away. Sellers are, after all, customers. If this removal of choice for sellers continues, certainly MANY will look to the competition to sell their wares.
VERY unhappy about this happening!
