I'm just curious, can anyone tell me why this Fitbit Watch went from $79.00 highest offer to over $1,075 at the end of the auction? Am I missing something?

... because that's what the winning bidder bid.
WHY the winning bidder bid that much, who knows?
IF the winning bidder is actually going to pay that much, who knows?

The high high bid was probably the result of two bidders placing nuclear bids. I had one and hated it, no reason for it to go so high.

Put that auction on your Watch list.
Don't be surprised if it is back for sales within a week when both the high bidder and the underbidder (who forced the price up) refuse to buy.
Bid once.
Bid your maximum.
The guy who bid more than you is a sucker.

No, you're not, the seller will be missing that payment for sure.

I do have it on my watch list. I was watching it for a few days to see what the price would be before it ended. I didn't bid though. Was thinking about it. But when I came back about an hour and 48 minutes before the auction was to end and saw that $1,075.00 bid, I was like what the heck?!! I thought I missed something about the watch, like may be it was a one of a kind thing, or a limited edition or something, but it's just a typical Fitbit Versa 2 watch.

It's already been relisted.

One of those cases where the autopay feature may have discouraged the nuclear bids.
