First time selling. Need help

Hello guys, I'm going to sell on ebay for the first time. I'm not new here, but have never done any sellings.

What should I start from?

Is it free to sell here or I should pay fee?

How to calculate shippings cost? Should I visit loacl post office and ask them for price or is it fiexd? (I'm going to sell it in US only.

Can I start selling even wen I don't have sold anything?

There is no longer an ebay classified. 
they did away with that I think Sept. 2016 & started an App called Close. 5 which is now also closing down at the end of Nov.

ebay wants all business on this site & as local pick up so they get the commission

I would not list that for delivery .
If you have it set in your head to list it here I would do local pick up only.
I just wouldn't list it on here at all. 
As others stated it's risky, You are better to start selling smaller easier to ship items

@labs118  eBay.com classifieds do still exist, only for certain categories.  AND eBay makes it tricky to find them.  It's like they are a secret.    I wonder if they will do away them completely at some point.  

OR if you can not find a category that fits then you use the everything else> every other thing category AND choose the classified option from the drop down menu in the listing form.  If you do not choose that from the drop down menu then it's not a classified listing.  

When listings an item in a category that has classified you have to use the drop down menu on the listing form where you normally choose if the item will be listed as auction or buy it now.

To use the advanced listing tool.  When you click on the sell tab, upper right hand corner on a pc, you should see a "use advanced listing tool" option OR it may also say "use form with more choices" .
