First time I've seen this.

I've seen sellers put photos in their listings with off eBay contact info many times. I've never seen a seller utilize ASQ to promote off eBay sales until now.

They must have asked themselves the question through each of their listings using another account, then posted the answer publicly.

The listing said Cali, but it's obviously a China-based seller using a Cali warehouse to fill orders.

Clever seller to have figured that one out.

I don't understand why a Chinese seller would use a US based warehouse.   We know the Chinese govt.  heavily subsides mail from China but by using a US warehouse, the Chinese seller would then have to pay both the shipping to the US (subsidized) plus the full USPS rate from the US warehouse to the buyer.   Doesn't make economic sense so I would assume that, no matter what the listing says, the item is in China.

When I filtered my search to US only they still appeared.

Ha ha ha. If I'm reading this correctly, the "buyer question" is exactly the same verbiage word for word as the answer????

If so, then yea... there's no way someone would suspect any manipulation here. China based companies like this actually don't care to really cover their tracks much. At least sound like a genuine buyer asking a question.
