Hi all and a Happy Easter/Passover/Sunday/April. Can anyone please confirm (or deny) that I can send a first class (thick envelope) to Saudi Arabia and it will show on line tracking from start to actual delivery? Thanks for your time. And yours. And yours as well.

Here is the list of countries on the E-Delcon list:
Australia
Israel
Belgium
Italy
Brazil
Latvia
Canada
Lithuania
Croatia
Luxembourg
Denmark
Malaysia
Estonia
Malta
Finland
Netherlands
France
New Zealand
Germany
Portugal
Gibraltar
Singapore
Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Spain
Hungary
Switzerland
As you can see, Saudi Arabia is not there so you will not have online viewable tracking to delivery as required for eBay and PAYPAL seller protection~

Yes. For delivery confirmation it has to be sent:
First-Class Package International Service
Countries Accepting Electronic USPS Delivery Confirmation International Service (E-USPS DELCON INTL)

You should read this on prohibitions;

Your list is missing about 17 countries.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I am still not sure if they show tracking in Saudi to the recipients actuall address or just their local post office. Anyone?

Tracking will show delivery to the country.

Often, the recipient will pick up the item from the post office after showing their tracking number and identification. It will show delivered on the tracking.
Some have registered home addresses and it will be sent to their homes and show delivered.
If it's going to a PO box it must have a city name, proper street address and an operational telephone number, according to this USPS information.

Sorry, I pulled up an older list from my archives. That said, there are some on that list where I personally still wouldn't ship either due to problems with their customs offices or areas of unrest.
Thanks for the heads up.

That's good because once I sent something with digital delivery and it was lost in cyberspace.

If you mean (thick envelope) = flat or large envelope rate, that's not going to get any tracking anywhere. To get the e-con delivery tracking, it has to be First Class Parcel (that's about $13).

As we all know, not all countries forward any scanning information to the U S Post Office. So for most countries it just drops off into a black hole.
BUT WAIT !!!
I was curious as to what the OTHER COUNTRY’S post office said. Turns out that many other countries DO scan the U S tracking number, they just don’t relay that information to the U S. But the information is available on their web site.
So I did some poking around and found the Saudi Arabia post office tracking site, for example
https://www.sp.com.sa/en/Electronic/Pages/TrackShipment.aspx?k=Tracking Number
Then there is a fill in block for the tracking number.
Found quite a few that do this. Just do a Google search for
(name of country) post office tracking
Hope this helps.

Actrually, you can send a first class thick envelope, and even a first class letter through Paypal and it DOES get a U S Post Office tracking number, and it does get tracked. And it's a lot cheaper than the $13 you quote.

Seriously? Thanks, I did not know that. I usually send any FCI large envelopes with stamps and skip the label/tracking.
