Hello,
I ship internationally and I have noticed that some countries eBay states that there is no delivery confirmation for First Class shipping to certain countries. Some of these countries are on the list on the USPS site that they do, in fact, receive full First Class tracking to the same countires. Some examples are Italy, Russia, France, and Norway. Could someone enlighten me on this? Do all the countries on the list receive FULL tracking via First Class and eBay hasn't updated? Or is eBay right and they don't have tracking?
So far I've been going by eBay's system but I'm not sure. If it's on the USPS site then it should have full tracking. So is eBay not updated? Could I purchase First Class to these countries and be safe? I've attached a picture from the USPS site for reference.
Thanks in advance,

I use GPS but I don't think any country maybe except for Canada that has confirmation with first class. Could be wrong. I think you'd have to use Priority or higher to get that which is what your chart is referring to.

E-delcon provides delivery confirmation on first class international mail to 40+ countries and has for several years now.

If the country's postal service is using DELCON then, yes, it is going to be confirmed delivery.
Just as it would be if you sent your shipment FedEx at five times the price.
Most of the countries on that list are members of the European Union, by the way. Two htat are not, surprisingly, are Norway and Switzerland).
That being said, Russia, Israel and Brazil are three countries that I will not ship too except using Canada's Priority Post, a very very pricey service that offers overnight service domestically, and usually three days overseas.
This decision is based more on the customers than the postal service.

I know but eBay says that there is no EDELCON for Russia even though it's on the list. If you can ship First Class to Russia with tracking then why does eBay state that it has no tracking?

If you want to lose your items and money you can try to ship to those countries from former USSR. The exception is Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Rest of those republics will thank you for free items.

That doesn't answer my question. USPS states that they have FULL FIRST CLASS TRACKING to Russia but eBay states that there IS NO TRACKING to Russia. It's not just Russia, there are other countries too. I'm just curious as to why eBay states there is no tracking to these countries when USPS says otherwise.

Tracking is available for USPS First-Class Package International Service to Russia, but not for First-Class International (like a postcard or a letter)
Maybe that's why ebay is showing no.

some of those countries listed do not have tracking..
such as italy, japan via first class international.

Thank you but even for First Class package it says there's no delivery confirmation. I'm just confused and want to clear this up so I know for next time that I can ship First Class rather than expensive Express for my customers.

According to eBay they don't have tracking but according to USPS site they do. This is where all the confusion stems from. USPS says there is tracking to those countries but eBay says no. Which is true? IF there is tracking then why doesn't eBay state so? If there is no tracking then why does USPS state so?

First Class International.
First Class Package International.
See the difference?

So to boil your question down to the simplest form:
"When I have a question about the USPS, should I believe what the USPS says or what eBay says?

Obviously, in matters of shipping, USPS statements take precedence over eBay's, since USPS is the one doing the shipping. Yes, I've seen that the eBay Shipping form does often pop up warnings that Delivery Confirmation is not supported for your selected country, even though USPS says it is (and even though, for the record, I am indeed shipping First Class Package International). I would attribute this to a combination of sloppy programming on eBay's part, or outdated programming on eBay's part; take your pick. (In one case, I remember thinking at the time that the buyer had abbreviated his country name in some way that eBay didn't recognize, because his country was definitely on the eDELCON list, even though the Shipping form was claiming that it wasn't.)
Some countries are better than others at following through with their scanning, but it's still a gamble, so if you're shipping something expensive, you might want to upgrade your Shipping method. (An international buyer willing to pay big bucks for your item should not simultaneously be trying to chisel you down to a cheaper Shipping method.)

If you purchase USPS First-Class Package International Service, tracking is included for those countries in your picture. If for some reason you cannot print on ebay, then go to the post office and buy the label there and add the tracking in you ebay account later.
