Hi,
I almost never sell very expensive things so I never worry much about the final value fee. Now I am selling an expensive necklace for a friend and was wanting an idea what the final value fee would be if it sells for a listing of $1,000 Buy It Now, or Make Offer, no reserve.
Thanks!

How would you require cash at pickup?

Good to know about Tiffany Sterling vs Gold. Thank you @emerald40
BTW I only asked because I have seen dozens of threads over the years where a friend asked an Ebay seller to sell a guaranteed real designer bag that turned out to be counterfeit and the seller had their account limited. Sometimes it's even been relatives.

Just to be clear anything can be faked, but it is much much more prevelant with sterling silver because it is much cheaper to buy to turn them into T&C pieces. And it would be a much bigger profit.

And a heads up on how to know if your sterling silver t&c piece is fake -
Has it been plated? T&C does not plate their silver jewelry. Does make it difficult to keep it from getting tarnished. But if your piece is really shiny looking, it is fake.

Sam, you do understand that the Socratic method is for arguments, right? It doesn't work when the other party is asking a question because they genuinely don't know the answer. People come here to get help, not to brush up on their debating skills.
