I am currently paying approximately 12.35% on final value fees and there are other eBay sellers who take consignments that offer better rates?
I am just wondering how these other eBay sellers offer better rates than eBay? I contacted eBay customer service numerous of times and they have no answers. I sell a large $ amount annually with perfect 100% feedback rating at Top Seller Plus status. Please answer this question if you know the answer.

The final value fee rate depends mostly on (1) whether the seller has a Store subscription, and at what level; and (2) what category the item is listed in. For instance, a seller who has a store subscription at the Basic level or above will pay a final value fee rate of 6.55% if they sell a laptop or a video game console, but 14.55% if they sell an item in the Books category.

I could answer your question if I knew what it was (being both a clothing dealer and one who does consignments). Which fees are you talking about beyond the FVFs we all pay? And why would CS know anything about consignment - is it that you're wondering if somehow consignment sellers pay less FVFs through some kind of eBay program? Who are these consignors who take LESS than a 12.5% commission (as I read your question)?

In the grand scheme of things you are not a Large Seller. These sellers are Large Sellers:

No one is going to tell what they pay eBay, there is no benefit for them to do this. Just a like Mom & Pop store is going to pay more for aluminum foil than Wal-Mart would. It's called Economy of Scale.

Are you asking if other sellers get a better rate on their FVF or are you asking about the consignment rate they charge their customers?

If you are asking about consignment rates, figure 35-50%, which may or may not include the fees you are now paying. Selling, on consignment, is not free. All the labor you put into selling, you would pay for someone else to sell your goods, plus they are taking on the responsibility of any returns or charge backs, they also have to cover their overhead along with making a profit. If they have an eBay store, they might get better rates, but that would not change the % they would charge you.

Oh, like kick-backs. Yes, I suspect eBay massages those giant sellers like CHOP, etc. But I don't know what their commission is to receive goods. When I used Thred-Up it was awful (they're also a big seller here).

When you say "consignments" do you mean platform? Off topic but I did look at your listings and solds..nice store! And I know they suggest white but I really REALLY like the purple background. It really makes your cards detail stand out.

In addition to Final Value Fees, which do vary as explained by the poster above as well as by category, and very large sellers (Eight Million listings would be pretty large, eh?) very likely have a privately negotiated rate, you will be paying 30c plus 2.9% to Managed Payments rather than to Paypal as before.
And those fees will also be charged on the Internet (state) Sales Taxes that eBay passes through Managed Payments. And of course on shipping.
You may get discounts from eBay for some shipping services if you use them. I'm in Canada and we get a special rate (again on SOME services) from eBay but rarely any better than the Small Business rate we get from Canada Post.
