Hi eBay community,
Is there an email address or phone number that I can message to file a complaint against eBay?
I am new to the selling world of eBay and, already, majority of the items that I have sold (awaiting payment) have been buyer scams asking me to contact them through phone or gmail. What recourse do these scam buyers have beyond me “reporting the buyer.” I was hoping this platform would be less inundated with scammers but I guess I was wrong.

@craigstevensstudio wrote “people on these boards protect ebay like a cult. (i suspect many are indeed employed by ebay.) ”
Been on the forum a really long time. (First as a lurker, then a poster.) Have never encountered an eBay employee that hasn’t identified themselves as such. Don’t recall any regulars protecting eBay like a cult either. Most of them are here to help others navigate the murky eBay waters.
But to each his own.

I'm there with you, I'm so upset, every item I got an offer for on eBay was a scam.
I took out all items immediately.
I think eBay should support their sellers more, there is not even a place where you can report any scammers so other people are warned. For me it was the first and last time on eBay.

Necro thread but..its unfortunate that newbie sellers dont take the advice they are given on the boards. And that is to list their item with a fixed price, and immediate payment required..that cuts the scammers out of the picture. As long as their are new sellers, there will be scammers..Ebay has no way to stop them. All they need is an email address...and with over 180 million members..tracking scammers is impossible.
