I am very frustrated with Ebay. They dropped my sales by 70% in March. They have been pushing for me to sell internationally even if I don’t have items that would qualify per their policies. The ad matching is very poor and can’t get any good buyers. My prices are comparable to what they were before except that everything no wcost me more soI am at bigger loss. i spent more on new inventory this month than what I made.
I went over to different platform and transferred my listing and feedback there. What got me surprised is thta feedback transferred from. Her to there is 825 while Ebay displays about 100 less. Why?

Who knows what you were up to a year ago in March.
How does it compare to March of 2019 (pre-covid)
And it's nice that Bonanza shows "padded" feedback rather than true "seller" feedback.”
I am comparing previous year as many of you were saying it was inflation and recession (when people including me were saying sales are dooooowwwnnnn! When Biden claimed Economy is greaaaatttt!
i think it is fair comparison and I have to tell you that this month March 2022 is worse than any other December I had before (which was always ghost town due to the nature of product I carry). So if I say I wasn’t able to pay my rent from what Ebay allowed me this months you shouldn’t question.
As for Bonanza… well I think it is very probable that Ebay is hiding feedback maybe due to glitches and technical issues. I don’t believe that other platform has any incentive to pad the feedback- no reason for that. So if Ebay lost my feedback they should restore it or at least look into the issue. I have sold way more than 850 on here. I have been selling same items for several years and i had sales of about 600/a year.
If they wanted to pad me then why not giving me an extra 1k”

Ebay dropped your sales 70% in March?
How rude of them.
Why would they do that?

Bonanza is a Great place to park your items but sales a very sparse over there. Been there done that. I still have a free store there for years and make about a 1,000 a year in sales. Its just part of my basket.

My guess is that Bonanza is counting every single feedback. eBay counts multiple sales to the same buyer within one week as just 1 feedback.

Why would i get 825 feedback transferred from Ebay? Ebay is not showing all feedback? 🤔

I don’t combine shipping ( items either fragile or big) so that is not the reason

If a buyer buys 2 items in one week and leaves feedback for both the feedback number only increases by 1.

Bonanza imports the feedback from eBay so that disgruntled eBay sellers who move there don't have to look at single digit feedback (sometimes zero) for months and months until they get their first sale (if feedback is left).
It would also be embarrassing for Bonanza if virtually all sellers on the site had almost no feedback, it wouldn't mesh well with the concept that you can actually sell stuff on their site.

You know how eBay calculates feedback numbers, right?

Bonanza is the ultimate pay to play from what I remember when I tried it.

As others said, combined shipping has nothing to do with the number of feedback you received. If a buyer purchases 10 items and they are mailed in 10 packages and they give you 10 feedback, ebay still counts that as 1 feedback.

Sales go up and down all the time, who knows they may increase next month or they may not. Bottom line is eBay has little control over your reduced sales. Would you be posting here if your sales were up 70%? As for international selling that is your decision and the EIS program appears to offer some good seller protections but it has a LOT of restrictions on what you can sell and there are a LOT of problems that are starting to crop up with the program and those that have been, or not been, able to use it.

It is, and it's really egregious. The new CEO says he's going to change a lot of things, including increasing advert engagement so "even more" people know about it. "Even" is a marketing weasel word - I don't know *anyone* in the non-selling world who knows about it, period.
Still, I'm always up for more success on another platform without having to buy 'turbo packs'. 🙄 I was on it once for two years, and another time for about six months. Ghost town.
