not hearing back from the buyer

Remember, feedback is entirely voluntary, and fewer and fewer buyers are leaving it these days. It is no longer considered an important gauge for a seller’s performance. While there are still those who reference it in their due diligence, don’t be surprised when a buyer does not leave it. The times have changed.

However frustration in not hearing back to numerous emails isn’t good
AAAAGH!
You have been emailing customers asking for feedback?
You might not like what you get.

Ebay sends out feedback reminders, plus I have a reminder on my feedback page that I see every time I look at my own feedback. I don't want to give feedback for a couple of those sellers, but if reminders don't stop, I just may do it and it might not be all that great. Lots of reasons for feedback to be delayed, but when a buyer leaves it, it will show up.

I am surprised you get feedback. No one else seems to get feedback on a regular basis. I leave feedback right after the sale. I get about 30 percent back. No mystery as to when you receive feedback. You may receive feedback only when the moon is full or when your buyer has nothing else to do.

That's how often some buyers visit the eBay site.

Leaving Feedback is strictly "voluntary" for both sellers & buyers. However, eBay will send a notification to those that haven't left a FB to nudge them to do so. Never bugged a buyer for FB either if they haven't
As a practice always send a positive feedback whenever I printed out the shipping label after receiving payment as a courtesy thank you. In return, have received all positives FB on 64%+ of the items I shipped (1665 items), except 1 time. Plus, never over stated the condition of any items items, mostly understated. Sold used/pre-owned items - never used the wording "near new" and provided lots of pics (even scuffs/cuts, wear areas etc. plus concise details ( key dimensions, material content, etc) in bullet format - ditched the marketing jargon - like "awesome", etc.
Never left a neg comment on a positive FB if the buyer didn't pay - it is against eBay policy to do so and it really doesn't benefit to do so - "Stuff Happens" when you sell get used to it. Selling tete- a-tete for 41+ years as a career taught me a few things on how to make friends and influence people plus reading Dale Carnegie's book on that subject.

1. Why would anyone with a FB number of 2738 worry about feedback?
2. You do know it's entirely voluntary, right?

It may also be caused by eBay nudging a buyer to leave feedback for a purchase while he still can. I usually leave feedback in my buying account as soon as my purchase arrives, but I get those reminder nudges in my buying account for items where I have not left feedback within a week or two of delivery.
In those cases, I was not really thrilled with the seller, but chose to leave no feedback at all because I don't want to burn my bridges in case the seller has more, better items in future. When you're operating in a niche market, you don't want to get blocked from future purchases on the basis of one less-than-perfect buy. eBay will send me an annoy-o-gram about leaving feedback for every sale, but sometimes I choose not to.

But either party, buyer or seller, should have only 60 days to leave feedback.
OP states FB is showing up after l0 weeks += 70 days.

I've had that happen a time or two or the OP might be stretching the truth - who keeps track of when you receive a FB unless one likes to watch people getting hair cut and has time to kill.

I always feel like, if a buyer is good enough to give me their hard earned money, I should say “ thank you”. So when a seller does not even say thank you, it upsets me. So I figure you should say thank you., and as a seller, if an issue arises, you resolve it.
if a seller does not say thank you, I don’t leave feedback.

So you don’t say “thank you” unless someone else does it first. Got it.

All of the sudden, Ebay wants Feedback before then transaction is completed. When my last 2 transactions were completed, the Feedback icon disappears

@tjsridge-9508 It might be because so many platforms are sending feedback/rating reminder emails - think amazon, the sellers on amazon, leave a review, rate our delivery, rate our driver - the list goes on. It's the same here, ebay will send reminders, then some sellers send reminders. It can get irritating and confusing from a buyer POV. As many have mentioned, a buyer may not be leaving feedback because something about the transaction didn't sit right, but isn't bad enough to leave negative or neutral feedback. In addition to the buyers who just don't care or are too busy. Most spend very little time on ebay after they've made their purchase.
Since buyers can only receive positive fb, it seems an inaccurate way to do things. You're obviously an established, quality seller. I like seeing the positives and nice comments, but I don't get upset if they don't leave any fb.
As for your fb showing up long after the sale is complete, all I can add is that ebay has been having so many tech glitches and problems, I wish delayed feedback was the worst of it. I keep getting reminders to ships items that sold and shipped months ago! I think whoo-hoo, I have a sale, then no I don't.
