FINAL SELLING FEES

I have been made aware of other members being offered reduced final selling fees of 80% off on a fortnightly basis ... I  am a regular seller with over 20 years experience and in the last 5 years I haven`t seen or received one promotional offer of 80% off.  I tonight asked the AGENT and they say it is a random selection of a group of people. Well .. I can`t see how this equates as there is no accidental coincidence in other members getting regular offers. I live in Northern Ireland so it leads me to question if these random selections are not that `random`. Are these selections on a geographical basis , satisfaction ratios , EBAY revenues per member percentage ratios ... ??? How do other Members see sight of these final selling fee reductions and how often ? ..........  THANK YOU

It must be a UK thing, we don't get those discounts in the US.

Never heard of this.  In the UK things may be different, but I know of no seller here in the US offered anything like reduced FVF, except through the Top Rated Plus program or a store subscription.

Based on those clues in your original post -- you might want to post in the eBay.co.uk forums. 
You have posted in the eBay Community for users in the United States.  

I have read that sometimes eBay.co.uk will offer reduced selling fees -- but in the 12 years I've been a seller on the eBay.com site (USA), I have never seen such an offer to sellers.  (I sell on a different ID.)  
It would really be nice to pay a much lower Final Value Fee -- but that would still mean that somebody would have to purchase one of my listed items.  And those sales have been very few and far between.
