I can get that anymore. Ebay it's not what use to be. Hear me out. I sold item for $895 in computer section. My state tax is 6% so apply that to $895 comes to $948.70.
Now taking out 12.55% FROM TOTAL AMOUNT OF $948.70 we comes to 829.70
Buy I got only $775.
Do I missing something?

I don't see that in your sold items. Did you charge shipping?

Your numbers are incorrect. Looking at your sales for December, the highest amount was $725. Where is your sale for $895 at?
Also the tax is based on the buyer's home state, not your state. What are the actual numbers so that we can calculate the fees properly....

Well -- I think you have now learned what the majority of sellers already know:
eBay DOES charge its fee on the total amount the buyer pays:
Item cost + postage + any sales tax = The Final Value.
The Final Value is subject to The Final Value Fee.
Your item was subject to a 12.55% Final Value Fee.
Some categories are subject to a Final Value Fee of 15%.
Oh -- and eBay also retains a 30-cent fee on every sale, regardless of whether it was sold at auction or as a Buy It Now, and also regardless of what category and Final Value Fee percentage is charged.

I sold item January 2nd. So I don't know why even something about December.

Okay. It was 12.55%
It's in my fees description for that particular item.
Okay if it's by state. Buyer from Michigan state and state tax in Michigan is 4.25%.
$895 item price + MI state tax 4.25%=$933
$933 after state tax applied - 12.55% ebay fees = $816
But not $775

No. It's no charge for shipping for buyer. So it's $60 less then I suppose to get after all that fees stuff

What you are missing is that YOU do not EVER get the sales tax. eBay skims that off the top and sends it to the appropriate state.
You sold it for $895.00 + 38.03 sales tax for a total of 933.05.
You paid a FVF of 117.10 (933.05 x 12.55%)
You got paid 895.00 less the FVF of 117.10 = 777.90
You do NOT get 933.05 less 117.10 which is why you do NOT get 815.95

FEES FEES FEES
HOW HOW HOW - can you not know the fee structure ?
You have been on eBay for 4 years.........
01-02-2022 11:33 PM
Okay. In statement they charge me 117.10 from 895 but actually 117.10 comes from 933.05 virtually.
So basically they take 12.55% from state taxes 38.03 from me.

I know all fees and rules. Don't want to pay fees for state tax too. Why it's so hard to get

I can't decide if this is why I don't sleep at night or if I keep coming back for the entertainment value. I should have operated a school for on-line sellers over the past ten years. It would be like selling shovels and gloves during the gold rush.

You didn't pay the sales tax, your buyer did eBay remits the sales tax to the respective state - some states don't have a sales tax. eBay does access their final value fees on the total amount paid by the buyer but so did/does PayPal. Now you have to only deal with one party vs two plus you don't have to do deal with sales tax remittance for all 50 states +. I assume you never took a close look at your PayPal charges. BTW PayPal has increased their money processing fees from the previous 2.9% + 30 cents. The increase was approx a full 1% - can't recall exactly what it was but it was effective in the later part of 2021.
Simply stated: You used to pay 10% to eBay + 2.9% + 30 cents to PayPal - Now you pay 12.55%. Do the math.

It is not hard to get, doesn't matter what you or I or anyone else WANTS - you don't want to pay fee's for tax - name a seller who does, but we are given the facts (fee structure) and it is up to us to make an informed decision as to whether or not we can still make our living here.
If you don't want to, or there is no profit for you anymore, the choice is entirely yours - stop selling here.

Michigan sales tax is 6% not 4.25.
