FEEDBACK TO BUYER

Ebay is constantly pestering me to leave feedback to BUYERS who haven't left feedback for their purchase. That's just STUPID! First of all, what do you say? Yes, they had to pay for the item they purchased? GOOD JOB PAYING! YOU DESERVE A MEDAL!

Does AMAZON, MY DOCTOR, DENTIST, HAIRDRESSER,  and RESTAURANT I eat at leave me a review?

Of course NOT! Thats not how FEEDBACK/REVIEWS WORK!

I ALWAYS respond positively to feedback.  I have a five star rating. And if a buyer doesn't leave feedback, it doesn't bother me.

Why? Let's face it, people love to complain. So if they are not leaving positive feedback, I don't care why!

Give me FIVE STASR of FOGETABOUTIT;-)

JUST LEAVE ME ALONE EBAY

AND LET ME DO MY WORK

You can delete and ignore feedback reminders.

Getting worked up over it is pointless.

You can always go to your account settings and click communication preferences and turn off feedback reminders.

Just say "Thanks for the payment".   Most businesses do thank their buyers.   I agree feedback for buyers really needs to go away entirely.

It might make you feel better to know that when I buy, I am also pestered to give my seller feedback even if they haven't given me any.

@lady*marion

Good morning

Your post made me laugh.  Thank you... ðŸ˜†

As others have suggested you can turn off the feedback reminders and then go on with your day.   Sometimes feedback is a bit over rated and some read too much into it.  It's not a prerequisite on Ebay for a buyer or a seller to post.

Have a great day and Happy Selling.

Anywhere that you shop, does the clerk at the register not say a simple and polite "thank you"?
I cannot understand why so many people get so worked up over a simple matter of common courtesy.

It takes a few seconds and it costs you nothing to say thank you. Why not?

FEEDBACK TO BUYER

I can't recall the last time a buyer pestered me for feedback.  It is always SELLERS that pester me for feedback (I don't take kindly to that). I don't recall eBay actually "pestering" me to leave feedback. From time to time while I'm doing something (like giving someone feedback) eBay shows a reminder and asks if I want to leave more, but "pester"? Other's MMV.

Having said that, been on ebay with several ID's since 1997 or so. Many thousands of transactions. In all that time I don't remember NOT giving someone, buyer or seller, feedback. EXCEPT a couple SELLERS that bugged me more than once.

IF I buy something from a 0 or single digit feedback seller I always put them to the head of the line if the transaction is a good one, because it's a struggle to get started and getting feedback is one of the keys to that.

Even if a buyer doesn't leave you feedback you should still leave the buyer feedback. Your feedback could be "prompt payment" or "great buyer." You should never base your feedback on whether or not he gives you feedback. Also it is good that they paid since some buyers don't.

We've chosen to simply automate feedback once the buyer has paid (you have that option or to wait until they've left feedback as well if you're automating feedback).  Since negative feedback isn't allowed, and you can still respond to their feedback separately, why not?  As others said, it's just like saying "Thank you" to a buyer in a retail store, and perhaps sometimes it can stave off negatives from the customers if they have been thanked by you.  Even if not, there's no harm done, and then we never have to worry about leaving buyer feedback.

There's so much in life to get stressed another. Reminders from ebay are NOT among them!

The more I think about it, the more I feel not giving a thank you feedback first to my buyer could be considered rude.   When I buy something at a physical store and the clerk doesn't thank me when I pay, I feel it's rude.  I usually say "your welcome" in a tone when they don't thank me.

It sounds like you do not understand feedback. It also sounds like you like to hold feedback hostage and only give when you receive. Feedback for a buyer is to "thank them". Nothing more, nothing less.

Leaving Feedback as a Seller, for a Buyer, is just like saying 'thank you'- which most 'businesses' do when you pay money for a item or service. That is how most buyers see it.

Just set feedback to 'automatically leave' the moment they pay you. Then, you don't have to spend 1 second worrying about it.

The feedback process benefits both parties.

As a seller, I have stopped leaving feedback until buyer leaves feedback first. I do this because I get so many who don't. Why should I take the time to bump their feedback status / rating when mine doesn't move? The other issue of leaving feedback to a buyer first is that they might try to make a false claim 1,2, or 3 months down the road. I probably have almost a 100+ buyers that have yet to leave feedback.

As a buyer, I leave feedback within 2 or 3 days after receiving.

Recently I had a few sales and I review the buyer's status. They have received positive feedback from sellers, but they have left no feedback to the sellers.
