Can anyone explain what would cause my external views to jump this much?
I’ve changed nothing. Same ol’ same on my end for quite sometime. Same coupons/sales, same listing habits, yet a few days back my external views started going up and are at the highest they have been in a very long time and seem to be continuing to go up.
Definitely not complaining, just wondering if anything has maybe changed that I missed, or? 🤔
Thank you!

One of your items may have gotten the attention of a blog or SM post that has suddenly brought a large number of people to view it, at one time or maybe not even one of your posts, but perhaps something your selling is suddenly 'hip'. I've seen that happen before.
I recently went to the dr's & the dr, maybe 10-15 years younger than me was complimenting me on my shoes. I thought it was the weirdest thing ever b/c my shoes were old New Balance shoes, nothing special at all. Like a week later, I was reading something on SM & found out that suddenly these large, white old school trainers are back in style with the youngsters LOL. My doc probably had kids who wore them LOL.

"Then I looked at the numbers a few days ago and the graph evened out. Like it reconciled itself as valueaddedresource mentioned above."
Total views shown here may vary slightly from other references due to latency delays. And an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period.

@pennpicker curious how that would show up on Google; what would a person be 'searching' in google for anything 'said on a forum' to pop up? Just the username or??
@kickin.assets just an fyi; my listing 'impressions' doubled overnight about 6 months from 1,000,000 a month to over 2,000,000 and views from 10,000 to over 15,000. Been that way since. No idea why (I did nothing different either)
I've done a lot of searches for different things on Google and some community post here do show up.

There is always a chance that there is a surge in shopping using Google, Bing and other external sites because some people have more money in their pockets and intend to spend it.
It is the only explanation I can accept for some of my recent sales of items which have been listed on Ebay for years.
My sales increase when external views surge, suggesting that there are more buyers and they are not looking at Ebay directly. As many of us know, the economic demographics of all internet marketplaces are not the same.

Yes, as per usual 😂
