These types of items are typically considered medical and not allowed. If they are expired then they also wouldn't be of much use. If they were prescribed, you cannot sell them to anyone else. They could lead to a false reading for a diabetic and that could have serious effects on their health. Best for you to simply dispose of them. Call your local pharmacy and ask them of the best disposal site for you to use or take them directly to your waste management location....

No you can not sell expired test strips. Diabetic test strips must be fresh and not expired or they will not register the proper glucose count and could be detrimental to the users health.
When I was a Nurse (retired now) those expired test strips would be disposed of as should yours.

Luckily this is an item eBay prohibits, or you could have found yourself knee deep in a law suit.

Would you buy them for a family member?

You're kidding, right? Expired?
Even if diabetic test strips were allowed here, nothing is allowed that is expired.
Ten_o_nine is correct... would you use them for one of your family members? Think about it.
The best place for them is the garbage can or the dump. Never here or anywhere else.

Walmart sells a box of 100 of this brand for around $35 -- new, lots of time left on them, safe to use.
No one should use expired test strips.
Even charitable organizations that take donations for use in impoverished countries, where regulations about the use of expired medical goods may be more lax, will not take them as donations.
Put them in the trash where they belong. I know it may seem wasteful to you, but it is the proper and the responsible thing to do.

since ebay has a lot of policies I suggest you read them all before listing.

I hear ads on the radio all the time from a company that buys expired test strips. So although you cannot sell them here, there may be a use for them.

Expired test strips are useless and worthless
And thankfully against eBay rules

You can't sell expired strips on eBay.
Aside from that my roommate bought boxes of expired strips CHEAP ($10/100 srrips) on CL that were a year out of the expiration date. He has a solution to test them with to see if they were still accurate and they were. His physician said they were okay to use. Just saying not everything that is expired is unsafe or dangerous.

Expired products of any kind CANNOT be sold on eBay. Sorry.
Not everything. Expired film and photographic paper are sold on eBay all the time, but of course they're not something that can affect your health.

Years ago I had a company that would buy all of the expired glucose test strips that I could acquire. They wouldn't buy any that were NOT expired, they only bought the expired ones. They paid a good price for them too. I never figured out why they wanted them and I never did ask. Figured it was really none of my business and they were a good customer for several years. I do still wonder though why exactly they wanted the expired ones only. If I had to hedge a bet I would guess it was a research study of some sort.
