Did you mean:

Enter Microdeposit amounts

I understood that after I sell some thing I need to enter in the deposit to my bank.  So I have went to "Enter Microdeposit Amounts and under "First Deposit" I have tried and tried to enter in an amount and it won't let me.  Am I in the wrong place? And yet, the screen previous titled "Update account details" says below Verify your bank account "Enter deposit amounts" and it takes you to the Microdeposit screen where I can't type anything.  Very Frustrating

@carolyberda-0 It's been a year since I signed up for MP but from what I recall the microdeposits were not on your part. The microdeposits were from eBay, which would make a small deposit of less than one dollar to your account. It would be a way for them to prove your checking account was set up correctly to begin receiving deposits from your sales.

It sounds to me from what you have written that this is what the intention is, not for you to make deposits yourself. Once you see these microdeposits in your account then you were supposed to click on something acknowledging it and then your checking account would finally be verified.

What exactly does "it won't let me" mean?

Is the box where you need to enter it disabled, and won't physically let you type?

Is the button to "submit" the amounts disabled?

Does it let you enter the value, but give an error message?

Is it saying the amount you entered is wrong?

etc.

I can't type anything in the field either. I'm on Mac and tried in Safari and Chrome. Same issue both. eBay turn off the crappy javascript on the page!

The only way I could get the micro-deposit amounts into the verify deposit boxes was to open up Excel, enter the deposit amounts in their own cells, then copy and paste them into the Ebay verify boxes.  Not sure why it wouldn't let you just type into the boxes in Ebay, very frustrating but glad I could figure out this simple work around.

Yes, VERY frustrating - so thank you for this solution.
For everybody else having this problem: paste with "ctrl-v" does NOT work - you have to use the right mouse click...

Wow. What a terrible job, eBay engineers.

Yes. This method will work.

  1. I opened a Chrome browser tab with the eBay page where one is *supposed* enter the two microdeposit amounts.
  2. I opened a Google Spreadsheet in another Chrome browser tab
  3. I entered the two microdeposit amounts eBay sent to my bank account into two different cells of the Google sheet, then copied the value from one of the cells.
  4. I clicked back to the eBay tab, selected the null amount ($0.00) in the first microdeposit form field, then used right-click (Commmand-Click on a Mac) and pasted the cell value into the form field.
  5. I repeated this with the second cell from the Google Spreadsheet to the second microdeposit form field.
