I completely stopped selling AND buying on eBay. COMPLETELY. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. I've made all of my online purchases on other platforms. Too many fees and **bleep** associated with selling on eBay. Did y'all hear about the ebay stalking scandal of 2019?

As to fees. That is a mixed bag. Some sites charge less that here and some charge more. You will just need to decide what is most important to you, traffic and sales or the fees you pay.

The horrible actions of a few FOUR years ago is not a secret. It has been discussed on the threads quite a bit. It is just coming back up again now because some court cases are close to going to trial. Most of the offenders have already been convicted and are serving prison sentences. So not a secret by any stretch of the imagination, it is just that you are now learning about it.

Every seller has a "breaking point" where they have to decide if the profit they are making is worth what they are investing..not just money but time, shipping,etc.

I see you have decided. And really can't blame you. Ebay's inability to stop scammers is going to cost them dearly. Sellers will quit selling, and buyers will quit buying.

It's already happening, despite what Ebay's cheerleaders would have you believe.

As far as Ebay's "scandal ", that's far from over.

Lawsuits and charges are still flying, and because it reaches so high up in the company, the monetary damages will be significant.

Should be quite the circus.

That is not quite accurate. There is a Civil lawsuit, filed a year or so ago by the people that were the target of this beyond bad behavior.

As for Criminal trials. I'm not sure there are any of those left as I don't think the DOJ is charging Wenig. But there could be one out there still to go to trial.

If I have that wrong, please feel free to give the correct information.

On Jan 5th of THIS YEAR a Judge ruled that the Steiners could refile their 2021 lawsuit against Ebay using the criminal evidence collected by the Justice Department and the FBI. Which includes emails between Ebays CEO to the now imprisoned Jim Baugh where he tells Baugh to "Burn her down". All this evidence wasn't released previously.

So on March 2, 2023 they filed a NEW lawsuit.

And Ebay is really screwed.

What? I did no such thing! Nor was the book sent to ME! Wait was it sent to YOU? So why on Earth do you care so much about petty, childish antics among individual strangers? I mean we're not even talking about real horrors inflicted on OTHERS, no breach of ethics involving municipal water supplies or wildfires or disease spread. Take a look around -there are countless REAL atrocities you could get outraged by. 'Death of a Loved One'? A funeral wreath? -I never even realized how funny that was until just now, reading your pearl-clutching about it. I hate to ruin comedy by explaining it, but what's funny is how pathetic the antics were, and how anyone looking at the situation could get appalled by it, it's like a SNL sketch. Seriously if you can't stand the barely-measureable heat of a television, well you know ......
