I use desktop computers and laptops to list. It seems to take twice as long to list anything than it did in 2021. Is there listing software that provides an input system similar to the one Ebay had in 2021 and before? Uploading photos, editing them, and processing them seems to take twice as long. There are delays when Ebay processes my options slowing things down. How do big businesses deal with this?

Uploading photos, editing them, and processing them seems to take twice as long.
I have always put my photos on my hard drive and edited them before uploading them to eBay. So that aspect is no different for me.

Process your picture BEFORE you list them. It takes me about 20 seconds or less to upload onto Ebay.

There are many 3rd party listing software options, however none of them are free.

It gets better (easier) with time.
You'll get used to it and like right before they roll out the next one! 😉

I was having the same problem, so I tried editing on my phone and it was much easier and very quick.

Put your images through post before listing - online editing options can be notoriously slow - a lot depends on site traffic so YMMV.

Well, eBay used to have their own, TurboLister, which WAS free, so that's why I mentioned it. Sadly, TL does not exist anymore, so all options are at a cost. I personally use Sixbit, as eBay reccomended them as a TL replacement. It is far more robust than that & I do pay for it, but on the plus side, I haven't had to have to deal with the new Listing form, at all.

I stand behind you on your comments about SixBit. I manage to do sometimes as many as 100 listings in an evening (about 4 hours of listing), and although it costs me 27.99 according to my Visa statement, it helps me get tons of listings up very quickly so I can list more items. I work full time, so eBay listing time is valuable and needs to be compressed as much as possible. Also the coin shop I list items for has agreed to cover half of the cost (the other half covered by me as I list my own stamps and postcards for myself in my eBay store).

You are correct that it takes longer to list with ebays new listool than it did with the classic tool. The classic was simple and efficient and it made sense. What they tried to do was make the listing tool for phones and computers the same....major fail. we sellers have been struggling for about two years now with it. Fortunately with and endless list of complaints, they have been changing it to look and feel a bit more like a desktop tool.......but it still need a lot of work. As you noticed, everything takes longer- from the simplest of things like category selection to the description where they require 2-3 extra confirmation clicks if you want to enlarge the font or highlight a sentence in color!
Its getting better but the overwhelming mobile influence has just ruined the tool
This tool is still full of frustrations and stumbling blocks to efficiency.
Again- not to discourage the design team because they have been addressing the issues......its just been a long road that has cost sellers and ebay millions and millions of dollars in lost sales and less inventory put on ebay. In fact that is when the changes started rolling out- when the quarterly GMV started dropping like a rock as more people were put into the new tool. A year of steady decline in GMV got their attention....... just wish they would have asked sellers what we wanted before - it would have saved all this headache and mess.
Just keep sending in feedback and we should eventually get back close to a good classic desktop tool- hopefully.

Thanks. I'm curious why they don't just have one listing tool for desktop and laptop users and a different one for mobile users. It isn't just uploading and editing photos that was slow for me, but the extra time and delays it takes to process the confirmation clicks and inputs like you mentioned, very frustrating.

You can download Paint.Net for free on the Internet.
If taking photo's w/ you're phone simply move them to you're PC, you can then load them into Paint.Net in bulk, edit them as need be. It has a "Save All" function whereby you simply provide filename.

Because maintaining multiple program code bases performing the same function is ill advised software engineering. Today, everything web related in engineering is "Mobile First" as most Internet browsing is done via mobile devices.
