Ebay Report

Is there a way to get monthly or yearly reports from Ebay that show all of my expenses from selling on Ebay, listing and seller fees, shipping and anything I need to help at tax time.

If you've been selling since 1999, you should already have your bookkeeping program in place.  While eBay should be able to furnish you records of your sales on eBay and the fees associated with them, how do you expect them to have the total costs related to running your eBay business?  Any expenses that have not gone through eBay couldn't show up.  Do you purchase all your office and shipping supplies through eBay?

There are several reports available and I have found them to be much more detailed that those I pull/pulled from PayPal in prior years. It will provide everything you need related to the eBay sales and eBay related expenses. From the Seller Hub use the Payments tab and select Reports from the drop down tab and then from the Reports customize the date range from January 1, 2021 until the current end date and select create report. It will take a bit for the report to generate and you will receive an email notification when it is ready to download.

The report can be opened using EXCEL. There is a ton of information in the report and you will probably need to customize and sort the data in a matter that makes sense to you. I deleted a number of columns when I ran the report as well as hiding others, moving them and sorting in a number of different ways. There is no one right answer on how to rack and stack the data that will depend on what makes sense to you.

I generate the All Orders Report as a CSV file for each or my selling accounts, and import them into a single spreadsheet. After a bit of sorting and summing, it gives me everything I need from eBay.
