Ebay Distribution Warehouse

Hello

Im outside of USA

Im trusted & verified seller, but sometimes people from US dont want to buy items when they hear that im going to ship it from outside US.

So my question is -

does ebay have a warehouse, where i can send all items i want to sell, and then after i sell em, to ship from that location ?

Sorry for my bad grammatic 🙂

I hope you understand what i want to know, i guess amazon has that service.

Hi. Sorry, Ebay does not offer that service to small sellers.

Before i post, i usually look at the seller’s items to help me give better answers on this forum. When i peeked at your listings, i see that you have registered yourself as being in the USA. Are the items you are currently selling in Newark, Delaware? Or are they out of the country as well? Ebay has rules about item location. Sellers must disclose their actual location in their listings. I completely understand that it is difficult to compete with local sellers because of the delay in shipping times. However, many foreign sellers sell on the USA eBay site successfully. Below is a link to the policies governing item location.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/item-location-misrepresentation-policy?id=4244

“Sellers must provide information about where their items are located, including the city, state, and country where the items will be shipped from or picked up. This information must be accurate and may not be misleading.

All items located in the United States must include a zip code or use the shipping rate table, unless the item ships using freight shipping, or will ship from multiple locations.

Make sure your listings follow these guidelines. If they don't, some or all of your listings may be ended or not displayed in the eBay search results. You may also be subject to a range of actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.”

What are the guidelines?

AllowedRequired

  • Accurate description of the item location, such as "Omaha, Nebraska, United States"
  • Valid zip code for items located in the U.S., except when using shipping rate tables, freight shipping, or for items that will be shipped from multiple locations

Not allowedNot allowed

  • Incorrect item location information, such as providing a U.S. item location for an item that will ship from China
  • Inaccurate or confusing item locations, such as "Beijing, United Kingdom"
  • Information in the item description or other areas of the listing that contradict the item location, such as an item location in the U.S. with a shipping service indicating the item will ship from outside the U.S.
  • Different item location and return address location if it would result in higher costs or confusion for buyers

No. There is no such thing.

Tbh I would never buy from someone who misrepresented their location. They don't live in the USA they shouldn't be able to register as such.

Just my 2 cents

Amazon's fulfillment service has expanded so that it can be used to fill orders from other sites (including eBay). Do some research into Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment.

EBay has no such warehouse.

Some businesses do arrange to have their products stored and shipped from US locations. Because US wages are so high, to say nothing of the costs of storage space, and shipping to the US location, most businesses who do this are quite large and often have their own direct employees in the USA to operate the facility.

You may find, depending on your location, that shipping through your own postal system, using Air Mail and tracking, is less expensive than setting up a US distributor.

Shipping is the hardest part of selling online, which is just old fashioned mail order after all is said and done.

Although US residents have a high duty free allowance ($800US) your high value items are very close to that maximum.

In addition, it is unlikely that you could ship that Gefran camera and have it arrive from overseas in less than seven days.

With tracking and given the value Signature Confirmation of Delivery.

This is why you MUST give the location of your item. Not your own location. The place your item will be shipped from.

Shipping is hard to learn.

Learn it with cheap items you can afford to lose. Not because people are dishonest, but because scammers love low FB sellers with high value easily fenced products.

BTW.

Everyone is assuming you are overseas.

If you are in Canada, drop into our own Boards and ask about chitchatexpress and other forwarders who will hook you up with cheap USPS shipping.

The problem is a buyer has no way to know the seller is misrepresenting their location until the item comes. Some of the OP’s listings say in the description that the item is coming from outside the country, but others don’t. How do we determine who is and who isn’t misrepresenting prior to purchase? Can anyone sign up to sell and claim they live here when they don’t?

So you know, people who tick "US Only" want their items to come from the US only. This is why they get upset when they find out the items are really in China or India or anywhere OUTSIDE the United States.

If you are not in the United States you need to change your account to where you really are. Lying about where you are is a good way to end up suspended.

This is true.

You can't.

I don't think so, but where they live is irrelevant to Item Location.  I can live in the U.S. and dropship stuff from China, the Item Location is properly China.  I can sell another item from my house, the Item Location is USA.  I can sell something for my sister, that she's going to ship from her house in Italy, the Item Location is Italy.  Because I have items listed with Item Locations in three countries doesn't mean I'm misrepresenting Item Location, it has nothing to do with where I'm registered.

The OP asked:

<<does ebay have a warehouse, where i can send all items i want to sell, and then after i sell em, to ship from that location>>

AMCF, like FBA, requires that the items be shipped to the warehouse before They are sold. There is no service that works like a reverse freight forwarder ... which is what it sounds like the OP is looking for 😞

@megacheaptechnic

Be truthful about the item location, be honest about shipping time and some buyers will be willing to take a chance on a new seller.

But if you start your selling career with lies (location, ship time, Top Rated Seller Badge), and with easily scammed items (good luck with those 2 laptops and the camera lenses) ... then your career will be very short indeed.

Using that badge as your avatar is a violation of policy ... a seller with 2 feedback as a seller is in no way, shape or form a TRS  😞

@megacheaptechnic,

You can't use the Top Rated Seller badge as your avatar. You are in no way a Top Rated Seller and you can be reported for using that badge. If you are reported you risk suspension so you should delete that badge ASAP.

Yes, I think eBay has a warehouse in Newark, Delaware... at your house.

Your listings say you are in USA in Newark, Deleware  and ship USPS Retail Ground??

How does a newbie get to list such expensive items?
I don’t think the op will have a problem long. When eBay finds out all the policy violations it’ll be a moot point.
