EBay Balance...

So I sold an Item on eBay, I received the cash from the buyer, gave the buyer the code to the product. And done deal, no need for shipping.. The cash I received which was 13.00 was on eBay cause I have no PayPal Account hooked up to it because I have no bank account. It kept bugging me about shipping so I deleted the sold item.... whhhooooooppp their goes the money I got from selling my item😂. At first I was thinking I could buy something on EBay with the balance I had made. So I went to the desktop site and checked my balance and it said nothing but I sold an item and on the mobile site it said I had 13.00 bucks that is until I deleted it lol. So yeah could I have bought something on eBay with the money I've received or does it not work like that? Because if not I'll just have eBay send me the paper check and be done with it lol but that's if I can undelete the item cash I sold. Please help first time using eBay and I'm very confused and frustrated 😭

EBay Balance...

Just to clarify something. Codes can be sold, just not with the format you used. Digital goods must be listed in the Classified section.

There is no way to list anything without some sort of electronic payment. When you made the listing did you put an email address in there somewhere? Check for a notification there.

The $13 you saw was probably the total they show on the selling page. That is not your eBay balance.

BTW, you don't get to keep that whole 13 bucks. There are fees charged on every sale.

Not sure how you get "cash on Ebay". That doesn't exist. To get paid you have to use Paypal or a merchant payment account.

You also gave away your code because those things aren't even allowed to be sold here.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Wow, just wow. So, yeah, where to begin.

1- How did you receive cash from the buyer? Did they send it in the mail? Did you get an email that said you had cash somewhere? Unless you got paid via PayPal (which you didn't), or a merchant account (again, nope) or received cold hard cash somehow (I'm guessing not), you didn't get paid anything.

2- eBay does not accept payments. There is no eBay balance, except what you owe them. You may have deleted the listing from my eBay, but you didn't delete the transaction unless it was still live and you ended it.

3- You can't sell that type of stuff here. And even if you did get paid via PayPal, you would have ended up losing both the item and the money.

To summarize...yup, you messed up and need to brush up on a LOT of the rules before you list another item...

When you deleted the item, it was deleted from your My eBay sold items page. You can recover it using this link but that will not solve your payment problem.

Your $13.00 payment is most likely waiting for you to open a PayPal account. It will be credited to your PayPal account balance right after you open your PayPal account and confirm your email address.

And I'm guessing you can only get eBay balance from an EBay card I'm assuming right?

@mr.stricklong-4

Your buyer's payment is not in your eBay balance.

Once again: eBay does NOT handle payments. They do NOT have your money.

You need to open a PayPal account, using the email address that you put in the payments section of your listing. Shortly after you do that, your money will magically appear in THAT account.

No, you are not correct. Again, eBay does not accept payments. There is no eBay balance. As stated about 100 times before, your payment is probably out in cyber-space attached to the payment email that was in your listings and is waiting for you to open a paypal account with that email...Open a PayPal account, get the payment and then request a check from them.

And please don't try to sell anything else until you know how it all works. Not saying this in a mean way, you just seem to have absolutely no idea what you're doing and you could end up losing a lot of money and your items.
