I wish I had never given them my banking information.

Now they refuse to delete it and tell me I have to close my account and open a new one if I want that information off my account.

Best of luck to you in whatever lies ahead. Based on your FB, appears you have not sold here in some time and were perhaps a casual seller?

We sell on several platforms and I have not found one yet that waives personal information requirements. Paypal had my SSN and my EIN/TIN on file.

But it was OK when PayPal (owned by eBay) asked you, now that eBay spun off PayPal, the same company, eBay, asks and that's an issue? Oh well, see ya, I don't need the extra competition and the record years (2020, and 2021) keep increasing the cash flow for me.

You still have an eBay account and you still post about eBay on an eBay messageboard. So clearly you still have a relationship with eBay.

No requirement to announce that you have departed, and no benefit having announced it.

One just needs to exit, close the door, and never look back if that is what is best for them.

Not everything that goes on with eBay pleases me, but as the eBay platform works for me with what I sell I choose to stay, but then I guess I also do not need to announce that.

No one else cares what you, and I do with our eBay accounts..

PP had my SSAN, and I opened another checking dedicated just to eBay selling, so I have no problem with providing them with the information needed so that they can send me my $$$.
