Re: Downsizing???

Doubt you will lose your banner.  The good news for you is that in additional to the 1000 free listings, basic stores give you 10,000 free listing in these select categories.  Since you list in these categories, you may not get a charge depending on volume.

You can use your 'select categories' fixed price listings allocation in the following categories:

  • Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Sports Trading Cards
  • Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games
  • Collectibles
  • Music
  • Books & Magazines
  • Movies & TV
  • Video Games & Consoles > Video Games
  • Stamps
  • Crafts
  • Home & Garden > Greeting Cards & Party Supply > Party Supplies

Re: Downsizing???

You should be able to check how your listings were applied (towards free listings or towards 1000 count) each month. Most likely you have many that would qualify in the extra 10,000 listings but you need to check how you have listed them.

Re: Downsizing???

So basically everything should just carry over to the new store with no charges, Correct?

Go to this page @meme6253 : https://www.ebay.com/sh/ovw

Find the panel that says "promotional offers" then click on "view expired offers" on the bottom of the panel.

Look for "additional fixed price free insertions in select categories" for Sept 1 - Oct 1 and look at the "used" number.

That will tell you how many additional category listings you had in the month of Sept.

Look for "premium store subscription - 10,000 fixed price listings" for Sept 1 - Oct 1 and look at the "used" number.

That will tell you how many listings you had in the month of Sept that would count against a Basic store 1k.

Re: Downsizing???

If you look at your numbers now under promotional offers you can see how many are currently going toward the 10k versus regular store freebies.  That is a good way to see how they will be charged when you switch to the new store level.  It isn't a new store---just different offerings.

Re: Downsizing???

@meme6253 My understanding is that nothing happens immediately to your listings and no insertion fees will be charged when your store converts.  However as each listing rolls over during the month it will be counted as a new insertion at that time using your new limits.  However, more than likely you won't be charged assuming your free listings haven't all been used.

Your store dressing (banner, etc.) will stay the same.

@meme6253

As others have told you.  The presentation on the site of your store and listings will NOT change.

Why would you go Month to Month?  Are you considering shutting down?

My advice at this point for you is to check your prices.  To me they seem pretty high on some things, which is likely why you don't have more selling.  For example those math flash cards, you are asking about twice as much, if not more, for them than other sellers on Ebay.

On some of your DVDs, the pricing looks OK if you were offering Free Shipping, which you aren't.  So you are high priced on these too.

IMHO if you want to sell more, take a much closer look at your price structure.  You may find that you can lower pricing and still can make a profit, especially because it would me more likely to sell.

Yes i am considering shutting down, I am very tired of all of this never ending garbage, and that's all i here is lower your prices while they keep raising the cost of doing business here!, Tired of all of their so called improvements, tired of their rules that they themselves do not abide by, I can go on & on, But I am Very Tired!

I'm not suggesting lowering your pricing just so you can get more sales, but because you are clearly OVERPRICED on many items.  Do your own research, you will see the same thing.

All the changes exhaust all of us.  As to them not abiding by their own rules, you'd have to be more specific.  This is sometimes said when someone misunderstands a rule or they don't agree with it.

Re: Downsizing???

I am overpriced because their are to many here who don't have a clue as to what they are even selling, I am overpriced because the collectibles have been ruined on this site, I am overpriced because of the cost of selling on this site in case you missed that part, I am overpriced because i would rather sell one item at $25 instead of 5 at $5, I save money that way, Others prices are cheaper just so they can sell SOMETHING & keep ebay at bay, Others are selling cheaper so they can get rid of their stuff & leave here as well, I have gotten burned by ebay to many times especially with global shipping, My orders got to ebay but not to the customer, & they made me pay for it, When they were suppose to take care of it!, That's why i stopped doing global, Again i can keep going!

Re: Downsizing???

If you are considering downgrading level and changing from annual to monthly, make sure you check your annual subscription renewal date because there's an early termination fee involved if you make these changes before your store's annual renewal period.

Re: Downsizing???

But whatever the early termination fee might be, it's a fraction of what he would unnecessarily be spending for a store subscription that's at a higher level than needed.

Re: Downsizing???

True, depending how many months are left on the contract, but it's good to know in advance so there are no surprises.

The early termination fee chart can be found on this page:

https://pages.ebay.com/stores/subscriptionterms.html

If going from $60/mo annual Premium to $28/mo Basic that's $32/mo savings.
