DISABLE automatic payments on multiple purchases

Is there anyway it could be left up to the sellers if they take automatic payments? I sell inexpensive comic trading cards and sometimes buyers want to purchase 10 or 20. If I can give them a discount on postage that would be nice.

Really think this is a bad idea anyways. Maybe a 4 digit pin like an ATM for security. What if the computer or phone is left open and a 3 year old starts clicking buttons and no one catches it right away? What if the seller ships that item and the buyer says it was purchased by mistake. Who is on the hook for the postage and the FVF?

I'm not 100% clear on what you mean by automatic payments. You have to accept payments to sell a item on ebay. If your wanting to offer a discount on multiple items for the shipping cost. I would use calculated shipping and select to combine the weights of any items purchased from you in a single cart to get one calculated shipping cost from usps. This is the method I use to save my customers money on large purchases of multiple listings from my ebay store. You can also make shipping discounts and rules to apply to listings that can reduce the shipping based on how many items that are purchased. For instance if you purchase 2 items you can create a rule to take off one dollar or a percentage of the shipping. And you can make a separate rule for different amounts of items purchased at once. Another way is to just run a promotion or sale that offers free or reduced shipping. I offer free shipping on orders over 300$ or it combines the shipping of all items in a cart to get one combined total for orders less then 300$. then I also offer a discount on 2, 3 and orders of 4 items purchased at once. Then I created a shipping rule that caps shipping cost at 10$ max and even if the shipping for one item is 15$ if they add a second to there cart it goes to 10$ any wont go up gain no matter how many items they purchase. Hope this helps.

I meant to answer it all but forgot the end question. You are responsible for fvf fee when you sell a item. If the item is returned ebay refunds the fvf fees. If you offer free returns it doesn't matter the reason why there returning it. You will be responsible for the return postage and original postage if you offer free shipping on your listings. If you offer free returns and calculated shipping and they return it for  something like a remorse return or or bought by mistake you will be responsible for the return shipping but you can choose to keep the original postage due to the reason. But in any case where its broken , not as described or your at fault regardless of what your return policy is you will be responsible for fvf, shipping and return shipping and also the refund of the purchase price of the item. Even if you don't offer returns in these cases you must accept all cost associated with the mistake and the return.
