Customer will not return item

I sold a moderately expensive comic book on ebay. Posted more than a dozen pictures because it had some condition issues. Buyer wasn't happy with it and requested a refund. I fully refunded the buyer and six months later, still won't return the book. I've reported the buyer to ebay numerous times and ebay has done nothing about it. What else can I do besides make a complaint the buyers town law enforcement agency. I'm fed up and that's my next step.

So you refunded $ before getting the comic back? Is that what ebay told you to do?

What is there to complain about to law enforcement?

If you wanted it returned, you should have waited to refund.

Once you refunded, the buyer had no reason to return the comic.

Until the buyer actually opened up an official eBay return request, you were not obligated to refund the buyer.

Since you jumped the gun, the buyer is not obligated to return the comic, and there's nothing that eBay can do, since you didn't follow official eBay return procedures.

I'm not sure that any law enforcement agencies will be of any help, either, since you were under no obligation to refund the buyer, without previously having the comic book returned to you.

At least you can use the loss on your Federal income taxes.

Next time -- study the proper method for processing refunds and returns.
