Customer service

Yesterday I tried shipping an item at the post office and I guess where I was my phone connection wasn’t good and the shipping label QR code wasn’t sending to my email so I opened and voided like 2 different shipping labels because I didn’t get the notification that they where being sent to my email because of my phone connection. 20 minutes after this I called ebay customer service to tell them about my problem , I explained it the same way I did on here to customer service. The guy I talked to was so rude , he didn’t have any alternative solutions to my problem and also got angry when I asked questions but let me back track the item I sold was for $80 I charged for the QR code twice the customer service rep told me that I had to go a store any store and go get a prepaid and put $144 on there so he could send me 144 to the card but why would I be putting my own money on a prepaid card ? And where did $144 come from …im just confused and I need answers ??

How did you get the phone number to call eBay customer service?

If you Googled and found a number for support, it could very well have been a scammer pretending to be eBay customer support.

Where did you get a phone number for eBay customer service?  It may not have been a legitimate number.  The call centers have closed and they provide little phone support.

Why would you call eBay?  The issue was with your phone provider or the Post Office.  There's nothing they could have done.  EBay has nothing to do with your phone service.  There's nothing they can 'fix' with that.  Another reason they don't have reps readily available to handle 'issues'.  Most are out of their control and the user's responsibility.

Re: Customer service

Hi, i would proceed cautiously. This is a scam! You were not talking to an eBay rep but a fraudster!

Re: Customer service

Just a scam.  You did not call ebay.  Delete that phone number.

You were not on eBay. eBay has an option where they call you, not where you call them. It's not a good idea to go to Google and look up a customer service number. Instead you should always go directly to the company's website and click through the customer service links. Did you give your name, e-mail, password, security questions, anything to this guy? You need to change all your passwords now for e-mail, eBay and anything else that might use a similar password.

For the shipping label issue, you can go to this page to void any excess labels. @we-5966

Re: Customer service

If you gave out your e-mail then you'll need to be really careful about any incoming messages and making sure they're actually from eBay. Don't click on any links unless you're 100% sure it's from eBay.
