Just had a buyer ask me to purchase an item via crypto, hahaha ebay way behind the times as usual. They will never catch up.

You have some really cool things. I can see how an interested buyer (of yours) would also understand crypto. Bummer...

For sellers, crypto is great, but for buyers, it's not so good since in most cases it's "all sales final" and they have no Buyer Protection

I don't think there are too many people who only pay in crypto and have no other method to pay.

Can we please not mention cryptocurrency? I had a chance to buy 100 BTC at $1 each when it first started out. I said no way was I going to waste $100 on a silly internet scam.
Some people just aren't meant to have money lol

We must have the same son lol and mine actually owns a Tesla, as well as Tesla stock. He's big into stocks and that sort of thing. Me, I invest my money into tangible stuff to have when there's no money lol

@southern*sweet*tea LOL sounds like it..
I invest most of my money in the sock drawer LOL
I dabble in stock, started at stockpile (which I do not recommend) and then switched out to Schwab but I don't have much there give or take $10,000. More take lately, I should've cashed that bugger out about a year ago..
I think the bulk of our "wealth" is on our house & property, on which I plan to be buried when I die.

Sorry, a little off topic. A few months ago my nephew (who also drives a Tesla) stopped by my work place with a envelope for me. In it was a stack of Benjamins. Apparently he was part of that Gamestop stock thing. He said he made a "life changing" amount of money and just wanted to share some with his Uncle. The money in that envelope was life changing for me! 😃

Caveat emptor. Crypto is worst for the parasites, the middle-men who provide nothing.
06-18-2021 12:56 PM
Also, crypto is great for buyers because sellers who accept it usually sell at a lower price since again.. no parasite middle-men. An example for this would be apmex where you get the lower prices if you pay with crypto.
"oh no my buyer protection noooooooo now i cant open inad cases left and right and scam sellers anymore noooooo how horrible nooooo what will i have to do now noooooooo"

I remember when people first started talking about setting up mining rigs 10 years ago. And how complicated it was to buy in. Half hour to an hour of looking into it, was like as much fun as it might be to throw a little money into this. I don't understand why it's worth anything. So probably best I stay out of it.
And even then, I still don't understand why it's worth anything. Although, same could be said for our dollar. Funny thing is, even 5 years ago I was thinking now that anybody and everybody is talking about it. I don't think I want in because it sounds like a great scenario for a pump and dump.
And honestly, as painful as it might be to think about what could have been. There is little guarantee you or I would have kept it in the moment Bitcoin jumped up to $5, $50, or even $5,000 a share.
