Creating Bulk Listing

How do I set package weight for bulk listings? Do I set the weight for one item and if they chose two it automatically calculates it? I tried searching the community but didn't find info.

With listing I am trying to create, if one is purchased it can go First Class. But only one, if two purchased it would be Priority.

When you use calculated shipping, it will add the 2 weights together and charge the buyer for that weight.

If you want to adjust that amount, you can set up combined shipping rules in your Shipping Preferences:
https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf

For example, I use calculated Priority on all of my listings

My combined shipping rule is "Combine all weights and subtract 8 ounces"
The 8 ounces is the average weight of the box.
It uses the first full weight and then subtracts 8 ounces from each additional weight.
This gives an accurate total weight of shipping 2 items (or 3 or 4) in a single box.

When you set a rule, it covers all of your items, not just the ones with multiples.

The important thing to remember is that the calculator won't jump from First Class to Priority just because the weight goes over the limit.  All of your items must be using the same Shipping class for the calculator to work correctly.  Which is why ALL of my listings are Calculated Priority Mail.

You can also set Flat Rate rules where you can either add or subtract an amount per item

If you list an item with a Flat Rate of $5, you can say "add $3" each additional item.  If a buyer purchases 2 items, it would charge them $8.

There are 4 ways to do this ...

1.  Roll the price of shipping into the price of the item and list as "Free Shipping"

2.  List as Flat Rate with an amount  for each that will cover Priority if 2 or more are purchased.

3. List as Flat Rate with an amount for the first and an additional amount for each one after that

4. List as Calculated Priority Mail ... and just mail Priority (forget First Class)

So, to be clear - when I enter the weight of one item in the listing, if the buyer selects two items, eBay will calculate the two items for their total?  I really appreciate your help - I am very visual and sometimes the written word creates gaps in the info for me....
