I think most experienced sellers realized this when ebay first launched the new listing form in beta, but on today's ebay for business podcast, Griff and Rebecca confirmed that the classic listing form will be retired at some point (no date set).
My advice is the same as usual: There's always a learning curve with anything new (not to mention the ingrained resistance to change many of us have) , so.....either plan on using a third party listing tool or start getting used to the new form now, before the old one is gone.
But, of course, my advice and 25 cents will get you...actually, not much of anything these days. Certainly not a cup of coffee....

Tonight I seem to have been switched over kicking and screaming..
I ended several items that were rolling off. I usually then go to 'unsold listings' and choose 'sell similar'.
After I check them all to 'sell similar', the page flips to begin and then stalls with a pop-up telling me about their great new bulk listing tool. That I CAN'T GET PAST. I have tried every trick to get to list the unsolds as 'sell similar', but keep getting blocked by that pop-up.
The only way I can get the listings to go live again is to 'relist' them , one by one.
Even if I WANTED to try the new bulk listing tool, there's nothing on the page to click to try.
I hate change when it sneaks in and bops me on the head.

I wonder if you could confirm something for me.
I have heard that folks on the new form cannot use Sell Similar. While I do not care about being able to do that from other sellers listings, I do have things set up on my own listings with links to my store categories within a listing etc. Can you confirm that you can or cannot use sell similar on one of your own listings from the Seller Hub if you are on the new version?

Yes, you can definitely use 'sell similar' from within Seller Hub, as well as from a listing itself. Seller Hub looks and acts the same, regardless of whether you've switched to the new listing tool or are using the classic form.

Thank you so much for taking the time to confirm. I really appreciate it.
I was about to get all sorts of cranky if it was not the case. I have spent a lot of time getting like linked to like store categories and it has worked well for me and I did NOT want to lose that functionality.

This tool is just not functional in the real world on a desktop. If is just poor web design. It basically makes it desktops a bad version of and under powered phone app. We sellers need to push back hard! What other company continually FORCES ill conceived product on it's customers instead of developing what they want to use? It's so bizarre. And this unified listing tool is so bad its not funny. Give us access to the classic again! Figure out how to fix this and then offer it again when it's even close to usable.

Ummm, pretty much every online selling site does. Amazon is famous for forcing garbage ideas down it's sellers throat without giving a single thought as to whether sellers want/like it or not.

Used twice on a desktop and gave up. Desktop works better for me than mobile. eBay should create a fully streamlined no ads selling app. The desktop is not dead by any means and for those of us who have to lots of photo editing much more useful.

My experience with new form was a user experience fail. The goal of any changes should be to shorten the path to the end goal--listing.
Instead, the form adds clicks and time to complete. I can see how it's mobile forward and that's fine for some, and it may work well for people who list things (and many of the same item) that are new and using stock images that eBay can make available.
For those of us that sell unique items, this form is a tragedy of design. eBay is a big company. And while no longer a hub innovation, they should be able to attract top notch talent for important tasks like redesigning one of the most critical parts of their business.
I am curious what 3rd party listing apps people are using since I may need to now go that route.

It will get you some stale candy out of a machine in the grocery store.

Hi. So apparently it is gone as of today (April 25,2022). With no warning. I sell appliance parts. The reason I did not switch was because it does not allow me to add all the numbers that identifies the parts I am selling. It also removes the amounts I have and the listing price. Grrr. So with that being said, what 3 rd party listing tools is recommended ? I would appreciate any feed back.
Thanks

It's being phased out, yes, although I still can access it today, and I posted a screenshot (here) of its return link a few hours ago. I don't expect my return capability to be around much longer, though. Maybe they start a clock ticking on you once you visit the new form for the first time.

Hello Out There,
I am totally sick and freaked out! I tried out the new format some weeks ago just for the heck of it. It was impossible for me to create a listing. I got so jammed up I wanted to smash the computer. Then I realized that they had frozen the new listing format in place. I had all of my descriptions and photos ready to go. I had to call a rep to be able to go back to the "normal" listing platform. They told me to write my opinion of the new format at that time and I certainly did. Right now, for me, listing 10 items takes 2 days from beginning to end. So, what do we do now? I won't even go near it for fear that they lock me into it. Should we start a telephone campaign to voice our opinions? Certainly, they are aware of what we are saying here in this space. But maybe tons of phone calls will wake them up. This is really scary.

Tried to add pictures to a 'sell similar' listing. deleted all the previous photos and then clicked 'add photos'.
they went into the listing only to have ebay do their auto page update and they disappeared and the old ones came back.
tried it again and was promptly logged out of ebay. logged back in and am on the listing page again with the old photos.
so, did a 'save for later' to put it into drafts. was logged out of ebay again. logged back in and am in the listing again. Cannot save it to drafts.
this is insanity!!!!
in addition to all the ridiculous pop-up windows for EVERYTHING.
Finally got it to save to drafts. went to drafts to finish it and got logged out. took 5 tries to get back in.
what on earth has ebay done now?

There was a major issue with eBay today from listing to even accessing different menu options. What you described is what was happening all over the place on the site.
