I found 2 active items that sold out months ago 

I check every Monday now 

It was a large item I was scrolling and thought I would notice that in the warehouse ,I was correct sold out over 6 months ago

Was the available qty 0 or some positive value.

they both said 3 available I originally listed at 12

I found a couple of what we call ghost listings - items that sold months ago that suddenly appear for sale again. I caught the last few but have 2 OOS from earlier this year when someone bought items that were sold in Sept 2018. This has been going on for years and is random but it seems to happen a couple of times a year. That's why it's best to keep a tab on your active listings and make sure they don't increase and try to go over your listings at least once a month to make sure everything listed is in stock.

10 days ago or so I caught one of my listings showing quantity of 2. I never had 2 items fo the same.
